January 14 2010

Nikolas comes to Liz's house and finds Steven. Liz isn't home but he invites Nikolas in anyway. The camera ominously pans to Steven's hand which is holding a wrench. Hmmm..

The Jax crew arrives at their ski cabin. Morgan loves it but Michael and Carly are wary. The cabin looks like the one where he killed Claudia - probably because it's the same set. But I think it's on purpose.

Mac comes to Sonny's restaurant but he's "not there to socialize". He tells Sonny that Claudia's autopsy results came back. She's been murdered.

For the first time we've seen, Dominic is furious with his mom. He accuses her of having more devotion to her "boy toy" than to her son because she knew that Johnny knew about his cover. Johnny walks out all shirtless and hairy telling Dominic that Olivia knew that Johnny could be trusted.

Credits

Dom's still mad. Olivia defends herself. She says she has people on both sides of this that she loves. Wow, I've never seen Dominic so mad! He continues to yell at his mom. Johnny comes to Olivia's defense and yells back.

Mac is warning Sonny about how awesome CSI is. I've never seen those shows, but I'm sure they're good, Mac. Oh...actual CSI. Sonny lies that it brings him comfort. Mac brings up the smack-down that Sonny put on Claudia in front of half the town at he Metro-Court. Sonny explains his marriage. He compares his marriage to Mac and Felicia's and that looks can be deceiving. He insinuates that he's glad the truth will come out.

The Jax clan is getting ready to go skiing. Carly decides she wants to stay in and eat chips. Michael jokes that she's just scared.

Nikolas references the wrench as if it's a threat but of course Steven is just fixing something for Liz's kids. Nik marvels at the way he brought Liz's kids into the conversation and he's aware about how all this will affect them. Steven understands the situation wasn't done maliciously and he says he understands what Nik is probably going through.

Lulu confronts Liz at the hospital about what Lucky told her. Liz tells Lulu it's none of her business but Lulu insists it is her business since she knew about Jason and never told Lucky. Liz says this is a different situation. Lulu: Is it? ooooh.

Liz pretends not to know what Lulu is implying. Lulu is trying to figure out how all this happened. Liz uses the Emily defense but Lulu isn't buying it - she brings up the Jason fiasco again. She asks if Liz is pregnant. Ha! She thinks that Liz must be sending Nik missed signals.

Nik thanks Steven for his understanding. He asks Steven if he'd rather have Liz with Lucky. Steven says he has no opinion/say about that. He says it may have to come down to Lucky facing the truth. Nik says he should have left it alone but he didn't; he's been pursuing Liz. He knows Lucky would never do it to him. He leaves asking Steven not to tell Liz he was there.

Patrick sees Lisa at Kelly's. He gives her good news about a patient and she invites him to sit down and eat. Uh-oh! Mike(!) comes over and takes their order like a glorified extra. Lisa makes a crack about how Robin has Patrick all housebroken but then apologizes when she sees his sour face. He invites her to scrub in on a rare surgery. She passes - she has apartment stuff to do.....*yawn*

Carly obviously took Michael's challenge because she's all dressed. Physical comedy ensues. Well, they try. Teasing Carly continues.

Johnny says he has no problem if Sonny ends up behind bars but the only reason he won't blow Dante's cover is because of Olivia. Dominic/Dante is still repulsed. He still thinks she chose Johnny over him. Olivia gets all cliche-motherly and basically talks to Dominic/Dante like he's five years old. She kicks him out. He doesn't leave before telling Johnny that he'll solve Claudia's case because she deserves justice. If Dominic/Dante solves any case in the next five years, I'll die of shock.

New set! Lisa's box-filled apartment. Surgery got cancelled so Patrick stops by. She wants his help to move her couch.

Kristina has been having a good day with Kiefer and is excited to go to the movies but Kiefer has a change of plans. His parents are out of town so he wants to go home and screw. Kristina really wanted to see the movie. He's not hearing it. He talks about jacuzzis and beds. She wants to have an actual date. Kiefer talks about how awesome he is. He grabs her but Ethan steps in and choke holds him.

Olivia thanks Johnny for defending her but she's upset about how angry dom/dante is. He knows how conflicted Olivia is. He says he knows that she loves Sonny and doesn't want to see him in prison but she needs to be prepared that that's what is going to happen. No, it's not.

Dominic/Dante walks into Rodney's hospital room - he's still there? - That's a long time for a Port Charles citizen. Usually they heal from a gun wound in like three days. Getting hit by a car should only be two. They discuss the evidence they have to convict Sonny - but they don't think it's strong enough. Dom/Dante says they need DNA.

Anal couch moving scene. I think Lisa is just trying to tire him out. This reminds Patrick of very boring story of when Robin bought a couch. She goes to get snacks. Patrick lays out on the couch.

Back from the ski slopes - apparently Carly is a natural. They have cocoa and discuss skiing. This is a very boring episode.

Ethan let's Kiefer go. Kiefer is sick of Ethan butting in. Kristina isn't as sick of it. Kiefer tells her off and leaves. Ehtan wonders what Kristina sees in him. She says he's "usually nice". Ethan compliments Kristina and tells her any guy would be lucky to have her. She's very flattered.

Olivia is worried that Sonny could retaliate from prison and put out a hit on her kid. Johnny says that could happen. She talks about the reasons she used to justify her actions of the year. Johnny warns that when Sonny finds out, he'll feel betrayed.

Speaking of - Sonny walks into Rodney's room. (The closed captions tells me that he's Ronnie...I'll keep that in mind.) Sonny says he's glad Ronnie is doing better and then tells Dominic to come to the office when he's done. Dominic is all of a sudden conflicted because Sonny is so nice to check on a low-ranking guy! UGH - I hate those moments of "hey, maybe Sonny is a nice guy" that Dominic has. We all know that the character of Sonny will never ever go to jail - but Dominic makes me hopeful. I just hope he doesn't become a complete wuss when he finds out he's Sonny's son. Worse yet, I hope he doesn't become another Jason. Dominic/Dante needs to remain a cop so we can at least have one smart cop on the PCPD beat - and maybe now that Jonathan Jackson has taken over the role of Lucky, we can have two. Ronnie tells Dominic/Dante not to fool himself - he needs to convict Sonny. Dom reassures Ronnie that he's in it to the bitter end.

Somehow, Lisa falls into Patrick's arms while trying to rearrange the furniture. *yawn*

Liz comes home to a household of fixed appliances thanks to Steven. He tells her Nik stopped by and that they actually had a decent conversation. Liz tells Steven of the Lulu run-in. She's not ready for the fall-out if people find out.

Ethan and Kristina have gone into Kellys. She defends Kiefer but than turns the conversation towards Ethan and how...awesome...he...is.. Kristina wonders aloud why she puts up with Keifer's moods and comes up with the teen girl answer: He's good looking, popular, etc... Ethan offers a solution: Leave him. She can't do that. He doesn't know what to say - Kristina says he can teach her to play poker to lift her mood. He reluctantly agrees.

Dom comes to Sonny's office. Sonny is suspicious of the Franco/Ronnie hit and run. Dom makes excuses but Sonny thinks they're connected somehow.

Steven offers a suggestion: He talks about how detached their parents were - she never got the emotional support from her parents so she clings to Lucky because he's the warm emotional support she never had. That's more of a psychological perspective than a suggestion - but whatever.

Lulu storms into Wyndemere and tells Nik how furious Lucky is with him. He's sorry she got dragged into this. She thinks Lucky should be just as mad at Elizabeth because she thinks something more is going on there.

We're back from another ski outing- apparently, Carly skied into a tree. I wish we could have seen that. Michael comes in from getting wood for the fire and sees Carly with Josselyn.

Quick succession of scenes:

The young black cop we saw briefly the other day (Ted) is standing with a file. New character or day player? Mac enters and tells him as "lead CSI investigator", he needs to keep Claudia's records sealed.

Sonny tries to convince Dominic that Franco could be Claudia's killer.

Ted says samples from the weapon used to kill Claudia match samples from the torched cabin.

Michael has a flashback about killing Claudia.

Sonny orders Dominic to make Ronnie tell the cops that Franco confessed Claudia's murder to him.

Ted says they just need DNA.

More Michael/Claudia killing flashbacks.

January 13, 2010

It's a nice cold day in New York. Let's get GHing. Apologies - after reading yesterday's blog, I will proofread before posting :)

Jason has escorted Carly home and Carly wants him to stay - Jason wants to go. She just wants to make sure he's OK and not beating himself up about Franco.

Dominic sets Michael straight and basically tells him not to be a dick to Kristina or women in general and says Sonny would never do that. Really? Michael says Dominick knows nothing about Sonny or having a father at all. Ouch.

Sam sees Lulu overhearing and wants her to hear what Lucky would have to say re: choosing between elizabeth and Lulu. Lucky makes the argument that it's different because Elizabeth is a mother. How does that help his argument that Jason should have saved Lulu?

Nikolas stops by Liz's. He confronts Liz about Lucky attacking him. He thinks they should tell Lucky the whole truth. Liz ain't hearin' it.

Credits Hi Justice! Hi Alcazar! Wait - you've both been gone for ages!

Carly tells Jason everything is fine, he did the right thing, blah blah pep talk. Jason keeps beating himself up. Jason says Franco was smart. Meh. He finally admits theyre a lot alike.

Johnny stops by the hotel to see Olivia. He's been trying to get answers about the body they found in the blown up building. He wants to give Claudia a proper burial. She's been worried about him - or so she says. Johnny thinks she's more worried that they'll find evidence that Sonny is responsible. You and me both.

Michael and Dominic continue to argue. Michael keeps acting like a dick. Dom says not to put Sonny on a pedestal.

Lucky apologizes to Sam. Lulu and Sam rehash the last moments before the bomb went out. Lucky apologizes again and tells Sam he's really grateful that she and Lulu are both safe and alive.

Nikolas doesn't get it. Neither do I. I don't like either of them right now but at least Nikolas is the only one being honest with himself and Liz. Liz just keeps leading two men on. She has a history of doing that. I remember a time when I actually liked Elizabeth. Nikolas asks once more for Liz to choose him.

After the commercial:
Elizabeth: "I know I'm not being fair to you right now.."
Nikolas: "Forget about me. What about Lucky?..."

Mode Light: Maxie gives Lulu her "ridiculously expensive" purse because she feels guilty about Lulu almost dying. Lulu's like 'ain't no thang.'

Michael finds it funny that Dominic is bad-mouthing Sonny. I find it hopeful. Michael thinks Dom is using Lulu, Carly etc to get to Sonny. Dom says that even Sonny doesn't want Michael to be like him. Michael continues to make it a dick-measuring contest with Sonny as the judge.

Jax is at the hotel office. He tells Jonny he's sorry about what happened to Claudia. Jonny thinks Jax will be happy with the results of her death: Sonny going to prison. Jonny leaves. Jax insists that he's not looking forward to Sonny's arrest because it will tear apart his family. He blames Sonny. Olivia defends Sonny...again. They talk about Dante finding out the truth for the millionth time. Once Sonny is arrested, Jax wants to tell Carly his involvement in his arrest. Olivia hopes he's prepared for the consequences.

Jason keeps talking about his evil twin, Franco. Carly makes Jason's ego bigger...again. Mobster with a heart of gold...blah blah blah - we've heard it all before.

Hospital; Lisa thanks Patrick for defending her to Steven. She pretty much double dares him to drink beer. Yeah, I don't know. Robin watches all jealous-like. She comes over.

Dominic asks "Ted" (a new young police officer extra) at the PCPD about the found body. He says it's against procedure to give that kind of information and the way Dominic is handling it "Ted" says he sounds like a cop. You know who else thinks Dominic sounds like a cop? Johnny. He walks in and calls him "Detective Falconari" for the first time. DUN!

Spinelli is spray painting over one of Franco's Tags. Sam walks in and he explains what he's doing. Sam reveals to Spinelli that some people think that Jason should have saved Lulu. Spinelli waxes poetic about art. She takes the spray can and continues Spinell's project.

PCPD holding room. Jason is there. Lucky walks in. Jason starts - but Lucky cuts him off and tells him to shut up! WHOA! He gets on Lucky about Jake. He says Jason is a glaring reminder that he has a really bad habit of trusting the wrong people. Perfect cut to:

Liz and Nikolas. Hee. Liz says for the millionth time that she doesn't want to hurt anyone...she's so confused...blah blah blah. Nikolas argues for the billionth time that it's not fair to Lucky...blah blah blah. Blah blah blah, Emily. Remember when Emily left Zander for Nikolas? Nik uses it as an example of why Liz should leave Lucky. Wait, what? So...everyone's in love with Nikolas and should leave their S.O.'s? I know that's not actually what he's saying but a big egofest is going on. He brings up that she left her kids and went all the way to the airport to get him. Well....that's just Liz, really. She's a flake like that.

We come back from the break to see....Liz and Nik again. She actually has the balls to bring up the rape again. Nikolas calls it gratitude - not love. First of all - she was in love with him before that. It had nothing to do with the rape. Second -that was like 10 years ago.

Meanwhile Lucky yells at Jason again about the whole Jake/Elizabeth fiasco. Then he apologizes. Oh stop yelling at people and then apologizing! He says another investigator will take over. Jason wants him to know that he respects him and he's sorry for being dishonest about Liz and Jake. He sees how safe Lucky keeps Jake. He is grateful that Jake has him as a father. Aw.

Dominic drags Johnny into a closet and they make out. Wait...I mean...Dom wants to know how Johnny found out about him being undercover. He says he overheard him and Lulu talking. They agree that they both don't want Lulu and Olivia to be involved. Johnny warns Dominic about Sonny - but he doesn't mind if Dominic takes down Sonny. Johnny gets defensive about Claudia.

Maxie finds Spinelli in the alley. Is this just everyone's walk to work? Why is everyone in this alley? Before a big argument can stir up about Maxie being unfaithful, she takes Spinelli for a "change of scenery".

Big boxes at Jax and Carly's house. Carly wants to know what it is. She tells Jax that they found Claudia's body. He doesn't want to worry about it. They're "all safe". He reassures her that it'll all be ok.

Robin says Patrick defended Lisa to save his own ass - he supported her doing two surgeries in a row so that she will support him right back when he does the same thing....because he's trying to prove that he's not some bored married guy.

Robin doesn't want him to push himself too hard. He says it's her fear. They argue and then they banter about smirks and head tilts. It's actually pretty cute. They kiss, to Lisa's disappointment.

Michael and Morgan come in. Carly says they're going skiing! Morgan is excited. Michael, not so much. He says he's not going to go.

Sam, meanwhile is creating some graffiti himself. Jason pulls up. Why is everyone in alleys??? He likes her heart graffiti. Jason apologizes for Franco again. Sam tells him to stop and says he's just as much of a victim. Jason says he's not a victim - he just didn't understand Franco's rules until it was too late.

Mode Light; Lucky apologizes to Lulu about going off before. He wants to make sure Lulu is ok. She says she is - basically. He asks Lulu about the Jason/Liz/Jake secret. He wants to know if she's keeping anything else. She insists she doesn't know he's talking about. He then asks if she knew about Nikolas being in love with Elizabeth.

Robin is all dressed and ready to go but stops by so that Patrick can say goodbye to Emma. He wants to walk her out but he gets paged. Robin and Emma leave. Lisa seems happy.

Lulu says she had no idea and wants to know why Lucky thinks it. He rehashes the [fake] tale. He thinks Nikolas has been manipulative. Lulu can't believe it.

Michael insists on staying home but the family wants him to come. They unite in saying that they won't go if Michael doesn't go so he agrees. They're all excited to see Carly fall. How nice! :)

Sam wonders what happens now that Franco is MIA. They wait for the autopsy on Claudia's body. They kiss. Please note that they're way too lightly dressed for winter in upstate New York.

Johnny at Sonny's Restaurant. Dom walks in. They share a bottle of wine. Johnny thinks Dom has guts for walking in there. Johnny says they're not friends - they just have a similar agenda. Spinelli crashes - apparently he has news. He reveals that the body is indeed Claudia and the cause? Blunt force murder to the head. Murder investigation, but who will head it? Dominic/Dante is undercover; Lucky recused himself from the case - who's left? Mac? He's too busy saying the words that the silly writers write for him. Poor Mac. On that note - I saw an old episode of 21 Jump Street with a young Mac. He played a guy who rapes and beats handicapped girls. One word: HUNK-E!

January 12, 2010

It's the next morning and Jason is staring at the building that Franco blew up. Sam finds him. Jason says he's been looking for Franco.

Morgan walks into Sonny's apartment. Sonny tells him that the police may have found Claudia's body. DUN!

Mode Light: Carly sees Lulu yelling at a hotel employee. She interrupts, because that's what Carly does. She basically tells Lulu she's overreacting because she was almost killed last night.

Nikolas has apparently not left because he's back at Wyndemere. Lucky shows up accusing Nikolas of lying to him and being in love with Elizabeth. He wants to know what makes it ok to steal Elizabeth away from him.

Credits: Jonathan Jackson is still not in the credits....neither is Dominic/dante despite being on the show for a year. Or Morgan. *sigh*

Steven drops the kids off to the-worst-mother-in-the-world. He tells them he needs to talk to Liz alone. He wonders what the "emergency" was. She says it was personal. She tells him about her run to Nik. Steven and the rest of the world knows she's stupid - but he remains supportive.

Nikolas doesn't want to talk about it. Lucky yells some. Nik justifies. He also says he's in love with her. Lucky thinks it has to do with Emily. He continues to defend Elizabeth asking what this will do to her.... I can't wait to see what he says when he realizes they're screwing.

Carly attemps to be motherly to Lulu. She snarks back. I don't even know what Carly is doing here... Lulu insists she's fine.

Jason tells Sam about how he's trying to find Franco. Sam supports Jason because that's her only role on this show. Sam says it's over. Jason says it's not. DUN!

Epiphany "sassy black nurse" sasses Robin. Patrick and Robin are getting along! They discuss a case...blah blah blah. NuLisa walks in to tell of her newest doctor triumph. Epiphany gives her a new case but she and Robin aren't sure Lisa is ready for another surgery so soon.

Steven continues to be supportive. Liz tells of how she's constantly anxious. ugh, enough. blah blah blah, Emily. Blah, blah, blah, vulnerable. Steve: Support, support, support. Liz blabs on about how much she wants and needs Lucky but we know her actions prove differently. She admits to being in love with both. Steven calls her 'peanut'. Is that new? They reminisce about pink dresses or something. I stopped listening. Can we get to the next scene? No? Steven rambles on - support, support, support. He also thinks that Lucky may be at fault too.

Now Lucky is saying it has to do with Rebecca. Lucky feels betrayed and rightfully so but he keeps defending Elizabeth...the poor poor victim. Can't. Wait. For. Sex. Reveal.

Lulu tells carly she's focussing on the positive. Carly rehashes her own near-death experience. She knows what it's like to be 'helpless'. Lulu finally lets it out - but accidently slips - she somehow mentions the words "Dominic" and assignment in the same sentence. She covers by saying "assignment for Sonny"

Dominic goes to the hospital room his cop friend (can't remember his name!) is in. He tells him that Franco is gone. How do they know this? Because he's been gone for one night? Franco has been MIA longer than that. Cop friend says good. Now Dom can concentrate on his assignment. Dominic accuses cop friend of not letting him nab Franco way back in NYC. In Tribeca...which wouldn't have been in Dominic's jurisdiction if he was a Brooklyn cop, but whatever. Dominic has been the one good thing about this show lately so I'll let it slide.

Patrick is blown away by Robin's work. Robin wants Patrick to look at the scan for the surgery that Lisa is doing. She's worried about Lisa doing 2 big surgeries at once. Patrick thinks she'll be fine. Robin thinks Lisa has something to prove.

Steven continues his theory that Lucky is somewhat to blame for pushing Liz into getting married. But no, Liz says she loooves lucky! She dances with him at new years! But then she saw Nikolas! Oh, woe is me! Steven talks about a similar situation from his past: "Charlotte" fell in love with someone else. There's more but that's the gist. I miss the other Steven Webber. This guy is so stone...y. Liz states the obvious, "I've been so self-absorbed..."

Lucky and Nik argue some more. There's nothing that important here. But it's a nice acting job by Jonathan Jackson; his eyes are so ready to cry! Nik wants Lucky to forgive him. Lucky guilts him.

Dom continues to berate cop friend and accuses him of helping Franco. Cop Friend explains Franco helped him out of a jam once - He tells Dominic that Franco took the fall when he robbed a liquor store. He says he didn't know he was the "Tribeca Murderer".

Sonnys house: Sonny has been waiting for Jason. Jason tells him that Franco is MIA. Sonny is disappointed. Sonny says Jason let it get personal and that's how Franco beat him. Shut up, Sonny.

Steven is back at the hospital. Robin tells Steven about Emma taking her first trans-atlantic flight. She's going to take Emma to see Anna. He sees Lisa is on her 2nd big surgery from the papers she gives Steven and is not happy about it. He runs off - Patrick comes over and chides Robin for ratting on Lisa.

Lulu sits alone outside the building she almost blew up in. Dominic stops by. She's trying to deal. She says work didn't work out and she almost let slip to Carly that Dom's a cop. Dominic isn't worried. I mean like 10 people know already. What's one more?

Jason moans about Franco. He's upset that Franco out-maneuvered him. Sonny says it wasn't his fault and tells him he needs to get back to work. He tells Sonny that every person he kills, Franco will kill someone too.

Lucky is at Mode Light. Lulu isn't. She calls her cell. Sam stops by Mode. She was looking for Lulu as well - but Lucky wants her to stay away from Lulu. He still blames Jason for choosing to save Same instead of Lulu.

Lulu and Dominic talk more about the bomb. There's nothing really of note to recap about this scene except that it's actually kinda nice. I like Dominic and Lulu together - it's a nice little scene. He mentions yelling at Rodney. RODNEY! That's his name. Rodney? Really? Were all the cool names taken? Lulu and Dominic kiss.

Kristina yells at Michael for ditching school. They're Sonny's restaurant and he continues to act like a little Sonny. Kristina hates it and says their father is a violent criminal. Michael doesn't like that.

Carly walks into Sonny telling Jason he can't keep falling for Franco's traps. She says that Sonny is the one getting played. Interesting. OK. I'll hear more.

Robin defends herself regarding Lisa. Patrick doesnt believe it.
Steven comes back from scrubbing in. Lisa is pissed because he took over. Robin wants to stay out of it. Patrick wants to butt in.

Sam wonders what would happen if Franco made Lucky choose between Elizabeth and Lulu. Lulu overhears.

Michael and Kristina fight. Michael thinks she's a spoiled brat and Alexis has brainwashed it. Dom walks in and stops the fight. He says Kristina should leave. She does and Michael tells Dom not to mess with the Corinthos family.

Sonny wants Jason to go back to work. Carly thinks Jason should rest. Sonny is acting like a total jerk saying Jason let Franco win. He says they have to find out if the body is Claudia because its up to them to make sure the cops don't find out that Michael killed Claudia.

-end.
