January 29 2010

As we know from all the spoilers and adverts, today is the big day. So let's get to it. Today's broadcast is brought to you by West Side Story.

Tonight, tonight, won't be just any night. Michael is looking smart in a suit. He joins Morgan who is checking out all the gifts. He says it's like Christmas, and Michael agrees except that the christening actually means something. Carly comes in and watches her boys. Morgan says the christening is like a "free pass at heaven". And that, ladies in gentlemen, is religion. Carly tells Morgan to get a tie and to tell Jax to hurry up. Carly says that Michael is the reason they're all there since he killed Claudia. He thinks that it ruined his "free pass". Just pray, Michael. Don't you know how these things work? Jax comes in with a fruiffy little bassinet. The phone rings and the lil errand boy Morgan answers the door. It's Jax's mum! She's so excited!

Tonight there will be no morning star, Kelly's: Lulu really wants Lucky to be at the christening but Lucky really doesn't want to go.

We're gonna cut 'em down to size tonight. Ronnie is at Dominic/Damte's. He thinks it's a mistake to give Sonny extra time. He's had a year and a half. What's one more afternoon?

We're gonna hand em a surprise tonight. Jason informs Sonny that everything is in place to make Dominic's death look like an accident. They're excited. Olivia stops by. She says something about stopping Sonny but I think we're supposed to think that she means something she doesn't mean. Get what I mean?

Credits: Let's rumble!

Lucky tells Lulu not to be nervous about going to the christening. She still wants him to go but he barely even remembers the invite since he was wasted. He starts in on Nikolas and Liz again but he just doesn't want to be negative today. Lulu wants him to stop thinking about himself and go. He thinks there's something more to it but she lies and says today's the day that everyone should just get along. Take that, Rodney King.

Dante is surprised that Ronnie thinks he is trying to ruin the case and Ronnie responds that.... oh it doesn't matter. The important thing in this scene is that Ronnie's hair is this unnatural shade of black and I totally want dye my hair that color. It's so black, it's almost blue.

What Olivia meant by her pre-credit vagueness is she doesn't want Sonny to turn this day into it being all about him. How can anything not be about Sonny? He's sonny. It's always about Sonny. Jason assures them things will be fine and leaves. Olivia wants to know why Sonny is so nervous.

Lady Jane gushes over the kids She and her falsetto voice inform the Jax clan of the presents she bought for Josselyn including a tree. They let you bring that passed customs? Carly is thrilled. She sends the boys up to tell the nanny to get Josselyn ready. Carly says she needs to run an errand. Now? Jane is happy to be alone with her son. They talk about Jax's dad. Lady Jane wants to know why Jax is sad on such a happy day.

Jax fills Jane in on everything that's been going on for the past six months. Again, he says that he'll be honest with Carly. When, Jax? After she knows?

Olivia pretends she's not flirting with Sonny. He wants to know how Johnny is. She says in her round about way that she doesn't really want Johnny. She wants Sonny. But Johnny is safer. Although really? But she doesn't exactly say any of that. I've liked Olivia for a long time but she is really starting to bug. She's so unfair to Johnny. Poor kid fell in love with a MILF and this is what happens. Carly stops in and sees Olivia tying Sonny's tie. She says they had the same idea. To tie Sonny's tie? Is he that helpless? Oh. They both wanted to come over to Sonny's to tell him to play nice at the christening. Olivia leave Sonny to Carly. And blah blah blah, I'm glad we're friends and blah blah blah, we've been through so much.

Dominic has come downstairs. He and Lulu are both nervous. They part ways so that Lulu can stop by the Haunted Star but not before they kiss goodbye. I'll see my love tonight. And for us stars will stop where they are!

Liz is at the Haunted Star talking to Luke in his office. He's willing to listen to Liz. She apologizes for being a total whore and Luke accepts her apology. I thought we were done with Liz this week. Lulu stops by and is not happy with what she sees.

Lucky is at the church and looks hot in his dark suit. He really needs to shave that facial hair. It's just not growing in right, sweetie. His eyes get red and he talks to God. God: I'm more concerned about this whole Sonny/Dante thing. Jason overhears the God/Lucky conversation but only the Lucky part because God is still ignoring him. Lucky assumes Jason heard about the split and he wants to talk to Jason about Jake.

Jax talks to Josselyn. Josselyn doesn't talk back because she too is more concerned about the whole Sonny/Dante thing. Carly walks back in from her trip to Sonny's. Carly is happy as can be. Just wait, Carly.

Dante has been summoned to Olivia's. She's all reminiscent about Dante's christening. Gosh, such a fuss over this ceremony. We Jews have the same fuss but in the end, we lose a bit of our penis. It's just not the same thing. The phone rings and it's Sonny. He needs Dominic over there right away. Gee, I wonder what's going to happen. Olivia is concerned because apparently she saw some spoilers too.

Michael and Jax argue about Sonny a bit more. Michael wants to know if Jax took care of everything. He lies and says he's working on it. Carly and Jane come in with their coats on, ready to go. They all go to the christening. Today the minutes seem like hours, The hours go so slowly, And still the sky is light...

Lucky moans some more. Jason still believes that Lucky is what's best for Jake and Cameron. Lucky isn't so sure.

Liz finally gets a bit snippy and tells Lulu she's not going to sit through her righteous indignation again. She thanks Luke for his 'compassion' and leaves. Lulu is pissed that Luke was being nice to her but Luke wants to know why she's putting the blame solely on Elizabeth. She says she's mad at Nikolas too but thinks it's Liz's fault. Luke's been smoking too much pot and talks about boomerangs and judgement or something.

Tension! Sonny eyes his gun as Dominic/Dante walks in. He lies and says the guards are all at the church. He gives D/D the fake instructions and says he should be done by nightfall. D/D guesses that he'll be dead by nightfall. The Sharks are gonna have their way, tonight!

Church. Everyone's there except grandma Bobbie of course. Maxie and Spinelli discuss Lulu and Dominic. Lulu is glad that Lucky is there and Lucky is glad that Ethan is there.

Cat and mouse game: Cat doesn't know why Mouse is so paranoid. But Mouse explains that he knows this wasn't a last minute thing and that he's afraid his brakes might "fail". Cat thinks that would only happen if the mouse betrayed him. And of course Mouse hasn't woken up with a horse head in his bed.

Robin looks absolutely beautiful. Patrick is happy to be there as 'part of a community.' Johnny reluctantly walks in but Carly makes him feel welcome. Olivia catches Johnny and pretends like she wasn't spending the morning fawning all over Sonny. She's worried because both her son and Sonny aren't there.

Dominic plays that he's sick that the suspicion that he encountered when he first arrived in Port Charles is back. Sonny basically tells him to cut the shit and so he does. Dominic/Dante explains that he wanted everyone to have one last good day. He takes out his badge and formally arrests Sonny. (With no gun or handcuffs). The Jets are gonna have their way, tonight!

Johnny and Lulu are both concerned that Dominic isn't there. Carly is also concerned about Sonny. Jax says they need to get started and so they do.

Sonny has the right to remain silent but he doesn't. Instead, he takes out a gun.

The priest that shows up every once in a while, Father Coates, starts the rites.

Dominic/Dante tells Sonny that he doesn't want to add cop-killer to the list of crimes he's already being arrested for. Sonny thinks it'll be ok because no one will ever find his body.

Father Coates talks about Christ and throws water on Josselyn.

Sonny talks about how much he liked Dominic/Dante.

The priest blesses the God parents.

Sonny wants to know if Dominic has any last words. He brings up Mr. Poletti, his reason for all of this. He monologues about what a great guy Poletti was. He gets all emotional about what an ass Sonny is - the actor is doing a great job, by the way - and for a moment it seems like the old Dominic/Dante is back. The one who hates crime and mobsters. Even mobsters whose hearts are made of gold and chocolate. And it seems like this character could be redeemable after all.

More throwing water on Josselyn. Everyone seems happy about it so I guess it's a good thing.

Sonny says he doesn't remember Poletti but if he killed him, then he deserved it.

More baptizing. More Jesus.

Dominic thinks Sonny should pray for his kids. Sonny: "Goodbye, detective." He shoots Dominic. Dominic is down. Olivia walks in and screams. Her cries are mixed with Father Coate's speech. She calls her son 'Dante' and chooses now to inform Sonny of his parentage. Sonny: Whaaaaaaaaaaa?

Toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

January 28 2010

So again, sorry about yesterday. Here we go.

Lucky is shooting his gun randomly in the woods. No, that's not a euphemism. Luke comes up behind him (Great way to get shot, Luke) and wonders who he's metaphorically aiming for.

GH: Epiphany gives some files to Monica! Elizabeth comes back to her first day of work and is aware of everyone staring at her. It's all in slo-mo and we can hear her heartbeat.

Carly schools Lulu on the art and perils of being with a mobster. The gist of the conversation is 'the heart wants what it wants' with no worry at all to who your love may kill. Excellent advice, Carly.

Johnny thinks Olivia is a stupid bitch for ruining what Dante has been working on for a year. She insists she's trying to save Dante's life and it has nothing to do with Sonny. Sure, Olivia. You could have done that a year ago.

jason lies to Dominic/Dante that he's looking for something that has nothing at all to do with Dante! Sonny walks in and wonders if he missed a meeting.

Credits.

Luke tries to be a dad by telling Lucky that if he wants someone dead, he'll do it because it'll be easier for him to go on the run and he wants to save his son from all of this. Lucky has no intentions of killing anyone - he's just trying to figure out how to live his life.

More slo-mo action at GH with everyone staring at Elizabeth. Or at least that's what she thinks. Monica and Epiphany express concern but Liz snaps that she's fine. Nikolas stops by. Liz imagines Monica and Epiphany calling her names and then has a complete break-down by announcing her affair to everyone.

Olivia continues to justify what she's done and Johnny thinks she's just doing it to save Sonny. We all know that.

Carly wants to know if there's something more Lulu isn't telling her and she omits the whole truth by telling Carly about how Sonny wanted Dominic to take over once Sonny steps down. Carly warns that if Dominic becomes in charge, things will be more intense for Lulu. She says that every decision he makes will reflect on her.

Jason tells Sonny the same lie he told Dominic about some papers he's looking for. Sonny tells him where it is and Jason asks Dominic to deliver them. Sonny's Dominic-sized-boner tells Jason that Dominic isn't a messenger but Dominic offers to deliver the papers anyway. When he leaves, Jason asks if there's any evidence yet that Dominic is a cop.

Lucky goes on about how there's no santa claus or something like that. It's all very cliche about how innocent we used to be and how dreams always die and unicorns get shot in the head. Luke confirms it because that's the sort of cynic he is even though Laura always believed in unicorns and fairy dust and perfect families. He goes on to compliment Lucky and talks on and on like he never did when Jonathan Jackson wasn't Lucky. And it's kind of like that, isn't it? Like Lucky has really been gone for eight or nine years and there was this evil Lucky X2 sitting in his place whining and moaning and dying his hair black, dressed as a stripper cop who no one really cared about and now Jonathan Jackson is back like he's some sort of savior and Luke can finally have meaningful scenes with him and we can get down to business as usual.

Elizabeth continues to place a giant A on her nurse's uniform by talking crazy and feeling sorry for herself so everyone can watch and judge her more and then the one person who shouldn't - Nikolas - takes her away from it all.

Tracy is at the Haunted Star asking Ethan where Luke is. Ethan thinks he's with his son. They discuss how brutal being cheated on is like it never ever happens in Port Charles. I mean it's like a profession in this town. Tracy thinks Ethan is jealous that Jonathan jackson is back.

Olivia plays off her "feelings for Sonny" as something she will always have because they've been through a lot together. You got knocked up by him in High School twenty some odd years ago, you never married, you went to his town to be a brides maid to a woman you could care less about and never see anymore yet stay in the same town as the guy you got knocked up by for almost two years. Delusion, thy name is Olivia. Johnny, after way too long, finally sees it. He's done. Finally. It's too bad because I liked this couple more than I ever thought I would but TPTB had to go and make her obsessed with Sonny like too many women I will never understand. It's like the whole Burt Reynolds thing. I just don't get it. Johnny also warns Olivia that Dante is going to be pissed.

jason hasn't found any evidence and Sonny can't understand why Michael would lie since he knows how they deal with people who betray them. Jason thinks the only strong evidence is how badly Dominic messed up with Tommy Soto. Then he brings up what he found out from the maid about cleaning out the fireplace.

Nikolas wants to help Elizabeth but she's still in crazy-mode. She's practically flogging herself.

Luke comes back to find Tracy at the Haunted Star. They discuss Lucky a bit and Tracy says she wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone then "Well...maybe some people." Love you, Tracy. Luke thinks Lucky has the biggest heart in the universe. Tracy tells Luke that Ethan is being affected by all of this too.

Speaking of, Ethan sees Lucky on the docks. He wants to know what happened and Lucky tells him. Ethan sympathizes. They bond and it's sort of sweet.

Lulu surprises Dante in his room. She tells him of her talk with Carly. She jokes that she told Carly everything. They have a moment before Lulu tells him she's not going to let him push her out of his life.

Sonny and Jason speculate more about Dominic. They both agree that they like him and talk about him like he's the second coming.

It's really nice of ABC to completely spoil something major that's going to happen tomorrow with a big ol' giant exclamation point that makes me not want to watch and just wait for someone's recap. But that's my recap and I guess I have to watch. Sonny says that even if he wanted Michael in the organization, he'd choose Dominic over Michael anyway. Spinelli busts in with some news: he tells them about the evidence and the warrant in the works.

Lulu tries to convince Dominic that they should be together because she wants to "stand by [her] man" turning back the women's movement about three decades. Dominic finally agrees and they make out.

Michael isn't very patient. He comes to Jax again to find out what's going on. Jax insists it is in the works and reminds him not tell anyone. Carly and Morgan come in. She wants to work on the seating chart for the christening. She recites the list. Kate and Coleman can't make it. Carly wants Morgan in charge of keeping the Qs away from Sonny. Morgan says he'll enlist Dominic for help and since he said the magic word, Michael tells Morgan once again that he can't trust Dominic.

Tracy tells Luke that Ethan is feeling neglected. Why are you causing trouble, Tracy? I don't think Ethan's that bothered. Luke thinks Lucky is a little bitch and needs him more. He says he'll talk to Ethan.

Ethan just wants Lucky to know he'll be there for him. I think they're going to make out any moment but are interrupted by Elizabeth walking by.

Awkward! Elizabeth thinks they should talk but Lucky doesn't He leaves her alone with Ethan. She tells Ethan that she just wanted to talk to Lucky about the kids.

Jax tries to diffuse Michael by telling him they should just not talk about Dominic. Carly agrees. How about if Michael just stops talking. Morgan doesn't drop it. Michael apologizes, more or less. They change the subject to the christening.

Dominic and Lulu make out and banter and flirt. They both breathe very loudly. And...its bed time. But of course someone knocks on the door. It's Ronnie: They need to talk. Lulu leaves. Ronnie says they have the warrant for Sonny's arrest.

Spinelli says the evidence is good and will work and was obtained by an undercover cop. Jason dismisses him and he and Sonny are dejected. They both feel bad that they didn't trust Michael. Sonny is pissed! Dominic has to die! Oh no! I wonder what's going to happen tomorrow! I'm glad ABC didn't spoil it or anything. Oh wait.

Ok, let me explain something. One of my favorite moments of this show has come to have the moniker: "Clink. Boom." It was the moment where Brenda and Jax get married at the same time Lily was blown up in Sonny's car. The internet existed back then but it didn't have a million sites telling you what was going to happen. This was kept as a big surprise (for most) and it's still one of the most talked about General Hospital scenes to date. I know there are leaks and people will constantly be searching for spoilers but if I hadn't known what would happen tomorrow, the surprise would have made the scene that much greater. /End Rant.

Carly is talking to Josselyn like she understands. Jax gets a phonecall. Predictably it's Rainier who tells him about Sonny's warrant.

Lulu goes to a church and sees Olivia praying. They discuss the art of prayer and then reveal why they're there: to pray for Dominic/Dante.

Dante wants to wait until after Josselyn's christening to bust Sonny. Why? She's not his kid. Ronnie is as incredulous as I am and thinks this story line needs a freaking resolution already. Ronnie thinks it's about time Dante went back to Brooklyn because he's getting to close. Dante says that Sonny' trusts him so much that he's about to hand him over the organization. Great - that means you did your job, Dante. Welcome to being an undercover cop.

Sonny and Jason plan Dominic/Dante's murder. They agree it has to look like an accident. Jason's going to hire a sniper to shoot Dominic's tires out so he'll crash into a lake. Good plan, guys. I'm sure it'll work.

Carly is excited for the next day. Jax looks on. This baby is freaking adorable. You know how sometimes babies try to smile but they haven't quite mastered it yet and their face just looks retarded? It's that. Totally adorable.

January 27 missing - sorry

Hey guys. I got a little overwhelmed yesterday and didn't feel like doing a recap of yesterday's show. Instead, I took a lovely, much-needed nap. It's a lot of hard work to keep this blog up; harder than I thought it would be. Especially with a full time job. I'm enjoying it but sometimes I don't know if it's worth it; if anyone is actually reading it. For those few faithful readers who do enjoy the recap, I'll continue with today's episode. It's a shame since yesterday's eppy was definitely snark-worthy.

January 26 2010

Docks: Lulu wants to know how Nikolas could do this to her brother; she also calls Elizabeth a two-timing slut. She goes on about how much Elizabeth means to Lucky. Nikolas doesn't want to justify his behavior but he says he's sorry. Lulu doesn't think 'sorry' is good enough.

Jason's pad: Carly apologizes for spreading the gossip so fast but wanted Jason to hear about it from her. Jason says he already knew and Carly can't believe it. She bashes Liz worse than Lulu did - wow, is this 'hate on Elizabeth' day? She thinks Jason needs to take Jake back.

Olivia says the case isn't worth it if it's going to cause him such agita. The case Dominic/Dante has been working on for over a year. Now it's not worth it? Dominic/Dante thinks it's too late.

Sonny questions Michael's proclamation that Dominic is a cop. He tells Sonny that he's been conspiring with Johnny. It's not clear yet if Sonny believes him.

Credits

Robin is back! They discuss a few cases that Robin left to Patrick while she was away. It's some weird competition that Patrick makes up in his head. Also in his head? He won. Lisa and Ethan bring Mike into the hospital hall on a gurney. When did this happen? Ethan says he found Mike in an alley.

Lulu said she should've known the reason why Lucky started drinking. Nikolas rationalizes. Lulu yells at him a bit more. She wants to know why he didn't just slam the door in Elizabeth's face. Nikolas insists that it's all his fault. Lulu tells him not to defend "that tramp".

Jason tells Carly the reasons he gave up Jake still stands. Carly brings up a stupid hypothetical; what would happen if Lucky and Elizabeth got in a car crash. Jason says that's a whole other situation. They continue to argue their points. Jason thinks they still may stay together and get passed this. Carly: "An angry drunk pill-addict and a lying nymphomaniac? What part of that is better for Jake?" Hee. Oh, Carly.

Dominic gets ready to leave and says the warrant for Sonny should be ready any day now. He thinks Sonny's going away for a long time, but assures Olivia that Johnny will be safe. Olivia says that she's proud of him for getting the job done. After he leaves, she calls Dominic's lieutenant. Stop it, Olivia!

Sonny wants to know exactly what Michael saw and heard. He retells what he heard. Michael tries to make Dominic look more guilty but Sonny keeps wanting to hear about Johnny. Sonny thinks Michael is just jealous. Or at least he's just saying that to make sure Michael is telling the truth. Michael can't understand how Sonny doesn't believe him.

Nikolas insists he was the aggressor and not to blame Elizabeth. Lulu knows that Liz was a willing participant. Nikolas wants to know why Lulu is so mad at Elizabeth. She insists that she's plenty pissed at Nikolas as well. She's more mad at Elizabeth because Liz puts on such a moral front. Nikolas defends himself and Elizabeth. Lulu isn't buying it. She walks away.

Dominic/Dante updates Jax on the situation. He wants to know why Jax is willing to risk his relationship with Carly. He says he'll do anything to protect his family. He says he'll talk to Carly about his involvement once Sonny is arrested. How much you want to bet she'll find out before he has a chance to speak to her?

Jason doesn't want Carly to call Elizabeth names. She can't believe Jason is defending Elizabeth. Carly accurately depicts the situation: Out of all the people Elizabeth chose to sleep with, she picked Lucky's brother. Wasn't Carly sleeping with AJ and Jason at the same time? Sam walks in during this. Jason cuts the conversation short by saying that he'll never be Jake's father. He and Carly both see Sam.

Sonny thinks if Dominic were an undercover cop, he would have busted Sonny by now and he says Johnny would never work with a cop. Michael insists he heard them. Sonny says he's not going to kill Dominic because Michael says so. Michael once again he's choosing Dominic over him. He leaves. The phone rings. It's Robin. She tells Sonny about Mike.

Johnny drops by Olivia's but she's on her way out. He wants to hang out but she says she has something to do for Dante. She invites him to stay and he goes in her apartment.

Alexis' house: Keifer wants to go back to his place with Kristina and spend the whole day in bed. He's one horny lil fucker, huh? She thinks all he thinks about is sex. Well, Kristina, he is a teenage boy. He "just wants to be with [her]." He guilts her until she agrees. Their kiss is interrupted by Michael who needs to talk to Kristina. Alone. She tells Keifer she'll see him later. He leaves in a huff. Michael tells Kristina about undercover cop Dominic/Dante. He says he's going to go to Jason. Kristina says he can't.

Carly tells Sam about Elizabeth and that Lucky is drinking again. Jason says he has a lot to think about. Carly wants to know if Jason is mad at him. In a roundabout way, he tells her he's not. She leaves, but not before guilting him a little bit more about Jake. Sam wonders if Carly is right that Lucky has had enough and he will leave Elizabeth and the boys.

Sonny arrives at the hospital and asks Robin where Mike is. Ethan tells Sonny what happened and Sonny says he appreciates what Ethan did. Patrick and Lisa arrive on the scene. Sonny wants the best and he knows Patrick is it. Patrick says he would normally agree (geez...ego much?), but since the surgery is orthopedic, Lisa is the best person for the surgery. Since when do you get to go into a hospital and pick your surgeon?

Lulu comes to the hospital and asks Epiphany if she's seen her cell phone. She sees Elizabeth and marches right up to her calling her names. Lulu: "I hope you burn in hell". Whoa, dude. Robin looks on.

Whoa. Ephipany, Patrick, Lisa, Robin, Ethan, Sonny and even some extras are all watching. Ethan comes over and asks for confirmation regarding what Lulu just revealed. Lulu wants her to tell everyone what a tramps he is. Ethan concludes that that's why Rebecca went to Paris. Liz is turning pale; more than usual while Lulu berates her for about five minutes. Seriously - it goes on for a while. She even jokes that Liz will go sleep with her third brother. She finally finishes and walks off.

Jason tells Sam about what Carly thinks should happen now. Jason still doesn't think Jake should have to live the life he leads. Sam starts talking about Jake in a similar vein to Carly but then cuts herself short because she doesn't want to sound like Carly. Jason says he wants her opinion. Sam would love Jake to get to know his dad but thinks the decision is ultimately his.

Michael thinks telling Jason is the right thing but Kristina doesn't want this to end in murder which she knows will ultimately happen. Also, she thinks Jason will get caught and get the death penalty. Kristina thinks maybe Michael should take it to Jax. Michael says that Jax hates Sonny but Kristina reasons that Jax wouldn't want Michael, Morgan and Carly to suffer Sonny going to prison. Sure.

Perfect cut to Jax: He talks about how Sonny has been in his life because they have the same taste in women. He tells Dominic that Jason isn't the same. He says if Jason ever got arrested because of him, it would definitely be over between him and Carly. He also says that Jason doesn't manipulate Carly like Sonny has and isn't as a direct of a threat as Sonny so Jason gets a free pass.

Olivia visits the lieutenant but instead finds Agent Rainier because this is now a federal matter. Olivia wants them to drop the case against Sonny because the arresting officer, "Dante Falconari", is Sonny's son.

Liz's hand is bandaged. She hands Epiphany some papers while getting a disapproving eye. Ethan chats a bit with Liz. He offers to drive her home. This...is not a smart idea.

Jason tells Sam that Jake was an accident but he loves him. But he doesn't say it as crassly as I just did. He says if Jake needs someone to step up and make a decision, he wants to make sure he'll make the right one. He still thinks Lucky and Elizabeth are the best parents for Jake despite everything that's transpired.

Michael goes to see Jax. He tells Jax what Jax already knows.

Detective Rainier is pretty pissed that Olivia has been quiet about this for more than a year. She pretty much blackmails him into taking Dominic off the case, although it would mean extending the case for another year. He dismisses her and then makes a phonecall to push the warrant for Sonny through ASAP.

Lulu stops by Dominic/Dante's.. She hugs him (she needed that) and tells Dominic everything about Lulu and Nikolas. She needs to know if Dominic/Dante really cares about her or if it's part of his cover. Dominic/Dante finally reveals that he loves her. Aww. I give this relationship my seal of approval.

Sonny stops by Jason's. Sam excuses herself because Sonny looks frazzled. He tells Jason what Michael said. Jason's not sure what to say. Sonny says it could be jealousy. Jason's brain starts working. Everyone stand back.

Olivia comes back, satisfied. Johnny thinks she was with Sonny. She knew he thought that but insists she was. Johnny is just happy that she doesn't look stressed anymore.

Michael is trying to convince Jax about Dominic. Jax says he believes him and says he'll call in a few favors. He says he needs something in return: He doesn't want Carly stressed about this and wants to make sure she doesn't know.

Lulu is surprised about Dante's reveal. Can I just call him Dante now? He insists that it's true. He says it again to make sure it gets through. She says it back. They make out. I bet they're going to have sex now! Nope, his cell rings. It's Rainier. He says they're going to arrest Sonny on Friday. He says she needs to go because he doesn't want to drag her down in this. Lulu is perplexed, as am I. He sadly tells her again that she just needs to go. She does.

January 25 2010

Special Weather Report so I'm missing the beginning. It's raining in New York. That's enough to interrupt GH. Blah.

Anyway:

My broadcast starts with Maxie at the PCPD. Mac is calling Spinelli and Jason "common criminals." Sam interrupts to see what's going on.

Back at the house of shame: Lucky says he knows Nikolas and Liz have been screwing behind his back. Liz tries to grovel. She knows it was "wrong". Lucky has a better word for it: "sick". He wonders how he could be so blind to what she really is. Love, Lucky. We covered this on Friday.

Credits.

Jason tells Sonny what he told Maxie to tell the police. This is what I must have missed during the weather report. Look at that, I'm all caught up. Sonny doesn't trust Maxie but Jason does because of Spinelli. Sonny brings up Maxie's infidelities which he thinks proves she's not loyal. Spinelli comes in and interrupts. He tells them that Maxie has been escorted downtown.

Mac doesn't want the interruption. He takes Maxie to the interrogation room. Diane walks in and asks what's going on. Diane wants to know why Maxie is being questioned without council. Sam says that Mac insists he can question his daughter about whatever he wants. Diane ain't havin' that. She makes up a docking citation to get closer to the room and innocently asks a policeman extra what's going on. He doesn't answer because other wise they have to pay the actor more. She takes it as an opportunity to overhear and moseys on into the room asking ever so politely why he's questioning her without a lawyer present.

Dominic and Johnny on the Docks of Confessions Where Anyone Can Overhear or DoCWACO for short: They discuss Sonny leaving the organization to Dom. Johnny doesn't want it and doesn't think Sonny would give it to him. They agree Jason doesn't want it either. Johnny wonder's about Michael. Dominic says Michael can't handle it and that he's a mess. He says Sonny blames himself for it. Dominic/Dante says he's wrapping up what he came here to do.

Haunted Star: Luke ponders how kids can share the same DNA and be so different; his own kids in particular. He feels for Lucky saying he has no armor. He thinks the whole betrayal is pretty ugly.

Whore House: Liz wants to know who told Lucky. He says he heard her tell Nikolas she loves him and he saw them screwing. Liz claims she loves him. Lucky says you don't do that to someone you love. Nik wants Lucky to blame him. Lucky's all: Don't worry, I hate you too. He reminds Liz about the first betrayal with Jason. Nikolas tries to defend her. Lucky wants to know what it is about cheating that turns her on so much. He's being insanely cruel and it's. Awesome. Liz says they shouldn't be doing this while he's drunk. Really, Liz? Lucky blames himself also. He says he should have known and rattles off all the clues. They're all crying and it's all sad and I wish he would just stab them.

Spinellis says he called Diane to go down too the PCPD to help Maxie out but Sonny thinks that was a dumb move because it shows that Maxie is trying to hide something. Jason gets him out of getting skewered by Sonny by sending him down to the PCPD to see what's going on. Jason think's the only alternative is to tell the truth and have Diane prepare a self-defense case for Michael. Sonny wants to know what's going on with Jason: if Franco messed him up more than he thought.

Hospital: Lulu asks Epiphany if they have al-anon meetings at the hospital. She lists off the dates, times and places. She asks Epiphany if there has been any missing medication taken lately: specifically pain pills.

Lucky continues to lay it on his brother. He calls Nikolas a Cassadine down to the bottom of his soul. Nikolas cliches that they didn't mean for it to happen. Liz tells him that what he saw was the end of the affair. He wants to know when it started. Nikolas says it doesn't matter because it's over. Nik and Lucky almost come to blows. Lucky still wants to know what happened. Liz swears he'll never touch Nikolas again but Lucky says that the marriage is off and they can do whatever they want to do. Nikolas draws the line at Lucky calling Liz a slut. He wants Lucky to take it out on him.

Olivia's apartment: Dominic/Dante shows up. She wants to know if Sonny is being arrested. Dominic says soon but that's not why he came over. Suddenly Olivia plays 'concerned mother' and offers him some food but Dominic/Dante just wants to talk. Dante/Dominic says he hates his job. He feels for Sonny. He doesn't want to see the look of betrayal in his eyes. He talks about how much Sonny likes him and treats him like he's a son.

Jason says it's not about Franco. Sonny insists that no matter what, they don't give up Michael.

Mac, with Diane present, wants to know what Maxie saw that night. She recants the story just like she practiced Diane says the stain could have been mud, cocoa, soy sauce...."sonny is wild about sushi". Hee. Mac wants to know if Sonny was alone.

Luke remembers a time when Lucky's way of dealing things was being the opposite of him. Tracy wants him to stop feeling sorry for himself. She says Lucky is going to need Luke now more than ever.

Nikolas again tries to defend Liz by saying she wanted to end it. Lucky thinks Nikolas trying to save face now is embarrassing. Carly knocks on the door. She's the last person Liz wants to see right now. Lucky goes to answer the door. Carly can sense the tension and says she just came to invite them to Josslyn's christening. Didn't she send invitations? Lucky says he'll be there but thinks Nikolas and Liz will be "busy". Nik and Lucky get a bit heated again before Carly quietly says "I'm gonna go." Her face is priceless. Liz thinks Carly is going to tell the world. She wants him to think about the boys. Lucky gets extremely harsh throwing words like "bitch". "lying" and "manipulative" around in the same sentence. He doesn't want her to use the boys to manipulate him. Whoa. I have never ever seen Lucky like this. It's kind of awesome.

Liz says she's never used Cameron and Jake but Lucky insists she has. He rightly says that she used Lucky as her safety net; a good dad to take care of her boys while she "whored around". Nikolas thinks this has gone too far. Lucky says she'll get what she deserves. He finally calms down asking her what happened to that 'precious little girl [he] found trembling in the snow.' So he prefers post-rape Elizabeth? Dude. Even I thought that went a little too far.

Epiphany wants to know why Lulu is asking about missing drugs. Lulu tells her that Lucky is drinking again and fears he might start stealing drugs again. Epiphany says that nothing's been stolen and won't be. She guesses that Lulu wants to go to Al-Anon to help Lucky stop drinking but that's not what it's for. She says Al-Anon is to help Lulu deal with Lucky's addiction. [The more you know!] Lulu knows there's something else going on but she doesn't know what.

Jason is leaving a message for Spinelli to find out what happened at the PCPD. It's Carly at the door! She's got gossip and ran straight to Jason with it. She hints at the situation by telling Jason that he never should have given up custody of Jake. Jason wants to know if there's something wrong with Jake. She tells him that Liz is no longer an angel and has been sleeping with Nikolas.

Haunted Star: Lucky is back for another drink. Luke gets it for him and jokes that there's only room for one bitter Spencer. Hee. They talk about love again. Didn't we have this conversation already? He talks in metaphors about how much he loved Elizabeth. He tells Luke about what transpired between the two of them. He says he doesn't feel angry or sad; he feels nothing. Luke says that won't last.

Mom Olivia has gotten Dominic/Dante food. Olivia's not surprised that someone respects and likes her son. Dominic/Dante talks about liking and on some level admiring Sonny. UGH. I feel this awful pit in my stomach every time he talks like that, like he's going to be the reason that Sonny doesn't go to jail.

Carly happily rehashes her short five minute visit to the Webber house. She doesn't even seem that upset that her addict cousin has been drinking. She says she feels bad for Lucky, but she seems more happy about Elizabeth getting her just desserts. Jason thinks this is none of his business but Carly reminds Jason that the reason he gave up Jake is because he thought Lucky and Liz would raise Jake right.

Liz sits and feels bad for herself. Nikolas continues to defend her. - It's really just that for a few minutes until Liz yells at NIkolas to leave. She even says she hates him. Becky Herbst has a nice moment after he leaves breaking down.

Lucky is on his second(?) drink. Luke hopes he's numb because the full weight of this is going to hit him soon. Maybe he should just keep drinking, then. They philosophize about love again. Luke has faith in Lucky that he'll get passed this.

Dominic remembers his thoughts before the case against Sonny started and he never thought it would end up this way. Olivia thinks he needs to walk away from this tonight.

Diane is at Sonny's She tells him about Maxie. Michael interrupts and says he needs to speak to Sonny. Diane leaves saying she'll keep him posted. Sonny wants to know what he did and Michael is offended that he thinks Michael 'did something'. Michael says he overheard Dominic and he's not who he says he is. He tells Sonny that Dominic is working undercover for the cops.

Lulu sees Nikolas on the docks. She says she's thinking of calling Lainey to stage an intervention. Nikolas guesses that Lulu hasn't seen Lucky yet. Yeah, Nikolas. That's why she's not ripping your throat out right now. He says he and Liz saw him and says that Lucky knows the truth, then tells Lulu the truth. Lulu reacts just like we would think: She gets the nails out.

Music montage! Elizabeth has trashed the house. She's sitting on the stairs, crying.

Talking over the montage! Lucky finally understands the AA (or NA) adage "Just for today" is about. Luke doesn't think it's that black and white. Lucky thinks there's something to be said for taking off the ''rose colored glasses". Luke warns him to be careful. He doesn't want Lucky to turn into an old bitter jaded queen. Ok, those were my words.

January 22 2010

Jason's Pad: Jason wants to know what Maxie saw outside Sonny's house the night Claudia was murdered.

Sonny's House: Michael is all up in Dominic's face. Sonny is holding him back. He says he doesn't want Dom to take away what belongs to him. Sonny shuts him up. Dominic apologizes and Michael takes it as him sucking up again. Sonny tells Michael he's out of line and not to threaten his employees. Again, Michael brings up the word 'trust', even though Sonny has never said anything to make him believe that.

Liz's place: Lulu says Lucky drank right in front of her. Liz wants to know why but Lulu says she knows why. Nik doesn't think that makes sense since Lucky just asked him to stay in town.

Haunted Star: Luke wants to know why Lucky thinks he's just like him. Lucky says he thinks Luke is amazing and passes the scotch. He tells Luke he knows that Nik and Liz are screwing.

Credits

Spinelli didn't know Maxie was there. She says she didn't want to tell him because he knew this would happen. She explains why she was there. Jason says he knew she was there because of Lucky. He needs to know what really happened. Maxie thinks what she saw proves Sonny killed Claudia.

Sonny wants Michael to calm down. He dismisses Dominic. He says Michael has no reason to be jealous but Michael thinks Dominic is a fake and wants to know why Sonny would choose Dominic over him. Sonny says Michael was never in the running. Michael lists everything he's "done" to put himself in the running: He took a bullet that was meant for Sonny (err...that ricocheted), he defended Carly and Morgan when Dominic first came to town and pulled a gun on them, (more or less), he killed Claudia and went with the cover-up and has been loyal to Sonny and Jason all his life.

Lulu tells Liz and Nik that she wanted to call Lucky's sponsor but Lucky wasn't having it. They bicker about how to help him. Intervention? Who should approach him? Nik says he should have just gone to Paris. Liz reminds him that Lucky asked him to stay. Liz coldly says that Lucky is an addict and that no one forced him to take that drink. Lulu defends Lucky by saying he wouldn't have started drinking if he hadn't found out that Nikolas was in love with Liz. Imagine what she'd say if she knew the whole truth.

Lucky pours a glass of scotch for Luke. Lucky and Luke reminisce about their old scams. Lucky remembers the point where the mark suddenly realizes he's been had. Luke guesses that Lucky is feeling like the mark right now. Lucky says he should have seen it. Luke says he should have told him. They clink glasses and drink. Lucky wants to know how long Luke has known. Luke says 'a while'. He saw them on the docks. He wanted to tell him so badly but didn't think Lucky would believe him. He says he spoke to Nikolas and Elizabeth separately. Lucky wants to know why he didn't see it. Luke says "it's love". He says he couldn't handle seeing it all so he left after the Christmas party. He wants to know how Lucky found out. Lucky tells him that no one knows but he walked in on them having sex. Well Robin, Steven and Rebecca know....but you don't know that, Lucky.

Maxie tells about what happened that night. She says Michael was with Sonny. She's slow with the details, but Jason pulls it out of her. The blood, the hand print...etc. Jason says she wants Maxie to tell the police everything except the fact that Michael was there.

Sonny tells Michael that he's his son; his first-born. Michael reminds Sonny that he's AJ's first-born and that Carly dumped Michael on him. Sonny says he's his son in every way that counts and says he doesn't want any of his kids near his business. Michael still wants to know why he trusts Dominic. Sonny says that the change-over may not happen for years. Michael: "Maybe. Unless somebody takes you out first." Ooooh, snap. They bicker a bit more about Dominic. Michael keeps taking everything Sonny says and turns it around. Now Michael's playing the "brain-damaged" kid card. When did he turn into Jason? Sonny wants him to accept that Michael will never work for him. Michael thinks Sonny doesn't respect him.

Liz still insists no one put that drink in Lucky's hand. Lulu snarks that it let's them off the hook. Liz reminds Lulu of when Lucky became addicted to drugs. She turned her life upside down. Lulu says they need a plan. Liz and Nikolas think they need to go to the Haunted Star and tell him how much they love him.

Luke says it's hard to wrap your head around this kind of betrayal. Lucky says he knew something was going on. He retells the details of how he caught them. Luke wonders what he's going to do now. Lucky just wants to drink. He apologizes for treating Luke like the enemy when the enemies were right beside him all along.

Carly has been summoned to Sonny's. He tells Carly about what happened and about how Michael threatened Dominic. Carly can't believe it, so Sonny gets into the details. Carly can understand why Michael is upset. Sonny says he's about to make this Claudia thing go away.

Maxie wants to know why Michael was with Sonny that night. Jason reminds her that she didn't see Michael. She wants to know what she should say if the police ask her why Sonny was driving Michael's car. Jason tells her she should say she doesn't know. Maxie needs to go. Kate has called her twice. Sam thinks Maxie should practice. She says she'll come back later and Sam can test her. After Maxie and Spin leave, Sam notes that Sonny is not going to like this. Smart girl, Sam is.

Lulu is hyperventilating on the docks. Of course, Dominic is there. He asks why she's crying. She says she's fine. He wants to know if he can do anything. She tells him about Lucky. She tells him about Lucky's history with pain medication. She brings him up to date about Nikolas being in love with Liz and everything that's transpired since. Lulu feels like it's her fault.

Lucky finally understands why Luke hates their house and tells him that he trashed it. He doesn't think they've been the same since the fire. That's because Lucky was played by two actors who had no chemistry with Becky Herbst. He thinks Liz recently has an affinity with 'dangerous' guys. He says Liz treats him like he's a safe haven. Lucky talks more about trashing the house. They wax poetic about how love sucks. I've missed these two actors working together. With any other actors, this conversation would have been extremely cheesy and cliche but these two make it work.

Sonny tells Carly about his plan to frame Franco. Carly thinks it's a bad idea. Sonny is stupid and stubborn and can't take anyone else's advice about this. But he pretty much convinces Carly.

Jason says that the case against Sonny is getting stronger with the hair and Maxie's statement. Michael comes by in a huff. He whines that Sonny is turning the organization over to Dominic. He's such a little bitch.

Lulu thinks love doesn't last but Dominic thinks it does and uses his family as proof....except for his mom as Lulu points out. Lulu thinks that this is the reality check that she needed. She wants Dominic to bust Sonny and move on.

Lucky continues to blame himself. Luke, for once, is being a pretty good dad. He admires Lucky and thinks Lucky is fearless. They should drink together more often. But not now! Because Lucky has some place he needs to be!

Sonny tells Carly about the hair. She wants him to back off the Dominic thing for a while. He defends Dominic but doesn't even know if he wants to take over. He thinks Dominic will run the business with respect.

Jason thinks there are more important things to think about right now. Act 'normal', hang out with Morgan, stop running his little bitch mouth. Michael calms down and leaves. Sam thinks any good cop will have Michael talking in five minutes or less.

Tracy greets Luke at the Haunted Star. She wants to know who's been leaving all the bottles around. He briefly fills her in about Liz/Lucky/Nikolas. She realizes he knew about it. Gosh, I just realized how long Luke's hair has gotten.

Liz and NIk wonder what went wrong. Man, they're idiots. Liz thinks she should talk to him first. Lucky wanders in drunk.

Jason comes to Sonny's house and tells him about Maxie and about the plan to leave Michael out of her story.

Maxie doesn't think there's anything to practice. She says you can't rehearse a lie too much. Mac stops by with police business. He needs to talk to Maxie about the night Claudia was murdered.

Dominic is on the docks with Johnny. This is the place where you tell secrets so people can overhear you! Hey look! It's Michael eavesdropping! Worst. Undercover cop. Ever. Dominic tells Johnny about Sonny asking him to take over the organization when he gets out. Of course he mentions that he's a cop and that he's sending Sonny to jail.

Nikolas goes to leave but Lucky stops him. Liz tells Lucky that Lulu was just there. They're worried; they want to help. Lucky is really drunk. He can barely keep his eyes open. He rambles and says they've helped him. He tells Liz that she doesn't love him otherwise, "You wouldn't be screwing my brother behind my back". OOOH! I'm glad this wasn't one of those secrets that lasted for months.

January 21 2010

At the Haunted Star, an empty bottle of scotch sits lonely atop the bar. Ethan is on the phone with Lucky's voicemail. He thanks Lucky for closing up but wants Lucky to call him back. He reveals a second empty bottle of scotch. Tracy enters and sees the empty bottles. She thinks that means Luke is back.

Lucky arrives at Jason's place. Lucky says it's official: due to conflict of interest, he'll be taking himself off of Claudia's case. He'll hand over everything he has to another detective including a witness he turned up.

Docks: Carly is leading Michael and Morgan towards Kelly's to wrap up the christening details and to invite Mike. Michael wonders what the point of addressing invitations is if they're just going to ask everyone in person. Morgan says they don't have to mail Dominic an Invite since he already asked him. Michael snarks that Dominic will come because he'll do anything to kiss Sonny's ass. He thinks that's the only reason Dominic is nice to Morgan.

Dominic arrives at Sonny's house. Sonny, who summoned him, says it's time to 'shake down the investigation.'

Credits.

Lucky (and the writers) suddenly remember that Maxie was a witness that night. She hasn't said anything but Lucky thinks she's hiding something and Mac will figure it out. Jason wants to know why he's receiving this info. Lucky says he's judged Jason unfairly.

General Hospital: Liz unknowingly gets into an elevator with Nik. He's headed to a board meeting. They exchange uncomfortable niceties. He says he'll resign as CEO if she wants so they don't run into each other.

Tracy thinks if it's not Luke maybe the alcohol consumer is Ethan. They banter before she asks him to get serious and tell her Luke is home. Ethan insists he's not.

Morgan defends Dominic. Michael says he only hangs out with Morgan to get to their dad. I think Morgan has a little man-crush on Dominic. Michael says Dominic bosses him around and Morgan only thinks he's cool because he's a 'dumb little kid'. Morgan goes to push his brother when Carly intervenes. She chides him for talking to his brother like that. She tells Morgan to hurry on to Kelly's and she'll be right there. Carly thinks Michael is jealous because he works for Sonny and that's something he 'will never do'.

Sonny says he wants to move on with framing Franco. Why isn't Dominic/Dante wearing a wire right now? Nothing he says is proving he is a murderer but he is framing someone for murder. That's gotta get him a couple of years at least. Dominic/Dante says he'll take care of it. Sonny has another reason for Dominic to be there. He asks Dominic if he remembers asking Sonny how he can be an asset to the organization. Sonny says that he's done that and more.

Sonny recalls their first meeting. He thinks he judged Dominic wrongly. He praises Dominic/Dante for listening more and doing an all around good job. He keeps building Dominic up. He even says that one day he'll step down and will want someone to take over the organization. He says he'll consider Dominic. I hope all this doesn't make Dominic/Dante feel guilty about what he's doing and ruin the investigation. I know Sonny is never going to jail which is probably why this storyline has taken so long to play out, but one can dream.

Lisa and Patrick pat themselves on the back for a great surgery. Patrick asks Chelsea how she's feeling. The surgery was a success and she wants to get ready for physical therapy as soon as possible. Patrick thinks she should get as much rest as she can first. They leave. Lisa doesn't think he should have had a pessimistic attitude with the patient but Patrick says he doesn't want to build too much hope. Lisa says what they did was a miracle. Patrick shockingly says that it's not about them.

Lulu stops by the Haunted Star. Ethan had invited her but sees it might be a bad time. He guesses that it's about Dominic and wants to help. Lulu thinks that's a bad idea since the last time there was a problem with Dominic, he and Lucky beat him up. She delivers the good news that she was asked to be Josslyn's Godmother. He tells Lulu that he thinks Lucky's been drinking. He tells her what he suspects siting the scotch bottles, etc. Lulu says she'll talk to him and thanks Ethan for being concerned.

Lucky says he's telling Jason about the witness because he trusts him "more than some people". He notices the new penthouse interior and tells Jason he did a little 'redecorating' of his own. He admits he came down on Jason pretty hard on what happened with Franco. He realizes that Jason did the best he could in the given situation. He metaphors and rambles. Jason can sense that Lucky may have something on his mind. Lucky brings up Jake and tells him it must have been hard to lose his kid. Jason apologizes again for lying to him. Lucky excuses it, lightly but pointedly putting the blame on Elizabeth. Jason says that Elizabeth cared for him but he doesn't think she ever stopped loving Lucky or ever would.

Longest. Elevator ride. Ever. Liz doesn't think Nikolas needs to quit the hospital. They continue to talk and I continue to roll my eyes. Liz says Lucky will forgive Nikolas eventually. He says he misses his brother. The elevator doors finally open and he leaves.

Quartermaine Mansion: Carly stops by with Morgan. She actually just walked right in. Alice takes her coat. Morgan says that Carly gets crazy around there. He compares it to the Battle Royale. Carly is embarrassed but Edward laughs it off. He attempts to tell a story of when he was 12 and he had the hots for this girl but Monica and Tracy cut him off before the story gets even remotely offensive. Monica wants to know where Michael is. Carly lies that he wasn't feeling well and went home. She wanted to come by and invite them all personally to Josslyn's christening. Tracy gets sassy and Alice decides it's time to take Morgan for some hot chocolate. He says she looks like "the Dominator" and Alice says she gets that a lot. Edward says that of course they'll be there.

Lucky stops by the Haunted Star at Lulu's request. She tiptoes around the problem trying to get it out. She brings up the scotch. He admits he's been drinking.

Jason tells Sam about what Lucky said and about Maxie being a possible witness.

Sonny says his job isn't all it's cracked up to be. Dominic/Dante senses regrets. Sonny starts to address those regrets but swiftly changes the subject to Dominic and Lulu. He thinks that Dominic is a smart guy and may have other options. He gets back to those regrets. He hates that he can't always keep his family safe. He wants Dominic to at least think about it. Dominic asks about Jason. Sonny says he loves Jason but he's made it clear he doesn't want to run things and that when Sonny is out, he's out. Dominic says there must be someone else who can run things, someone who has been there longer. Sonny brings up Dominic's heroic acts. He thinks Dominic has natural instincts. Dominic/Dante brings up Johnny. Sonny doesn't think Johnny would want it anyway. Dominic asks about Michael. He says that all this is to let his kids have a better life than he has and he doesn't care what Michael wants. Cue: Michael's entrance. He wants to know why they're talking about him. Dominic leaves. Michael wants to know what that was all about. Sonny says it's business but Michael says he heard his name. He tells Michael that there's a chance that Dominic may run the organization one day because he doesn't want Michael to.

Dean approaches Patrick at the hospital. He wants to know if Chelsea is going to be able to walk again. He doesn't think he'll be able to stand by his girlfriend if she'll be in a wheelchair. Patrick says it's not a decision he has to make right now. Dean takes that as confirmation that she'll be ok, thanks him and runs off before Patrick can say anything. Lisa enters with Chelsea's latest scans. Patrick says he owes Lisa an apology. He asks her if he treated her like Dean is treating Chelsea.

Sonny tells Michael he's not going to retire anytime soon. Damn. Michael doesn't like the fact that he's being left out and verbally attacks Dominic. He tells Sonny that Dominic is not who he thinks he is and he's just kissing Sonny's ass. He thinks Dominic is taking his place. He wants to follow in his dad's footsteps but Sonny isn't having it. He wants better for him but Michael thinks Sonny just doesn't trust him.

Ronnie is finally out of the hospital! Dominic/Dante has called him to the docks: a perfect, private place to do undercover business! Dom/Dante is holding a rare baseball card. Ronnie wants to know how long it's going to take to get Sonny's warrant. Dom/Dante says very soon. He tells Ronnie what Sonny wants him to do. Ronnie thinks this is great: conspiracy - it's as good as a confession. Ronnie wants to know why Dominic doesn't seem happy about this. He's tired of the lies. Secrets and lies! He says he was going to give the card to Morgan but decides against it. He throws it in the water. NO! He doesn't want to come up with a story about how he got the card. Now he has one less thing to lie about. Was it necessary to throw away something so valuable? I mean, you've been lying for a year now. One more little lie to make a kid happy wouldn't have been so terrible. Shut up, Dominic/Dante.

Lulu wants to help Lucky fix this but Lucky doesn't think there's a problem. He justifies it by saying he's not taking pills or stealing. Lulu wants to call his sponsor and get him to a meeting. She wonders why Lucky wants to throw away all he has. Lucky hits back with, "Who says I'm the one throwing it away?"

Lisa thought 'not getting serious' was a mutual decision. They cheated on each other and she let him believe she was ok with it. She states that a girl who guzzles beer and moves around furniture shouldn't be taken seriously. Wait, what? Patrick apologizes for making her feel that she shouldn't be vulnerable. She changes the subject by reminiscing about something 'wild' they did. I don't know whose stories I hate more, Patrick and Lisa's or Sonny and Olivia's. Lisa thinks that if she and Patrick were in the same situation that Dean and Chelsea are in, that maybe Patrick would have done the right thing and stuck around. He agrees he might have. He thinks she's saying that because of Robin and her HIV but Patrick insists that he fell in love with her so the HIV wasn't an issue. They go to check on Chelsea. Lisa tells her they're going to do simple tests to check the paralyses. Chelsea can't feel anything but Patrick says that doesn't mean anything and that they'll take things one step at a time.

Jason thinks the prosecution will bring Michael in for questioning and Sam thinks he'll lose control and get angry. She thinks Spinelli should talk to Maxie and tell her to keep her mouth shut. Jason doesn't want Michael's life to depend on Maxie. Who would?

Dominic comes to the house and Michael yells at him to get out. Dominic tries to lighten the mood but Michael doesn't want Dominic taking his life in the business. Dominic insists that this is between Michael and Sonny. Michael sasses that he's making it between him and Dominic. He thinks Dominic is greedy. He says he's not going to stand and watch while Dominic takes down his father.

Lucky goes to get another drink but Lulu tries to stop him. He accurately points out that they're in a bar and she can't hold on to all the bottles. She wants to know why he's so intent on wrecking things. He says he can do everything and still have a drink and cites Luke as an example. She thinks he's mad at Luke but he responds that it's just the opposite. He admires Luke's view of the world. He takes a drink and Lulu snits that he's 'just like dad'.

Maxie and Spinelli have been summoned to Jason's apartment. She thinks it's about the decorating. Jason wants Maxie to tell them everything she saw the night Claudia was murdered.

Michael continues to be a dick. Dominic/Dante decides to be the bigger man and starts to leave but Michael brings him back using the magic word: Lulu. He says Dominic is using Lulu to get to his dad. Dominic warns Michael to stay away from Lulu. Michael ominously says that "people disappear". Sonny comes in and wants to know what's going on. Michael says that Dominic is trying to take his place and he'll get rid of Dominic if it's "the last thing he does".

Why is Nikolas at Liz's??? Apparently Lulu called the two of them. She comes by and tells them both that Lucky's drinking. She blames Nikolas.

Luke is back! He sees Lucky drinking and knows what's up. He turns down the jazz and approaches Lucky. Lucky is reading about the plot he and Elizabeth were going to buy. He asks Luke if he wants to join him. Luke asks if they're celebrating. Lucky says he finally gets it and he's just like him. That's a side of Lucky I'd like to see. Except without the whole "ruining his life" thing.

January 20 2010

Diane arrives at Jason's pad. She wants to know what happened to the penthouse. Jason is somehow offended by this and says Maxie did it. She likes it. Jason wants to discuss a "hypothetical" regarding Claudia's killer. Diane thinks he means Sonny. He tells her it's Michael.

Speaking of - Michael welcomes the Jax clan back home. They joke about Carly and her awful skiing like some bad sitcom family. Carly changes the subject and says they have an important family decision to discuss.

Lulu is running late, carrying coffee, bags and is on a cell telling Maxie she knows she's late and calling her to tell her she's late is only going to make her later. Maxie kids that she can't walk and talk at the same time. Lulu threatens to hang up and Maxie brings up Lulu crying herself to sleep last night. Lulu pretends the call drops and subsequently drops the coffee. Who is there to help her pick it up? Dominic/Dante!

Credits

Lisa, who looks like a different actress, but just has newly straightened hair, is walking out of the OR with Patrick. They're arguing about who did a better job in there. It's kind of as gross as you might think. I mean that was an actual person you were operating on, douche and douchette. New guy comes in. Big car accident. "Dean" who looks like a young Jonathan Jackson is getting looked at by Patrick. He wants to know how his friend "Chelsea" is. He reveals that Chelsea was telling him to slow down before the crash.

Spinelli visits Maxie. He tells her she looks amazing. She totally does. He tells her that Jason was underwhelmed by the apartment make-over. Maxie is insulted saying they transformed his "man-cave". I think it looks pretty much the same. She's worried that Jason blames her. She wants to make amends to Spinelli as well. She's still on the "cheat on me" kick. He insists he doesn't want to but since this is the millionth time she's brought it up, I'd say TPTB are going to make it happen.

Jason and Diane are still talking in hypotheticals. She doesn't think he has anything to worry about at the moment since Sonny is the prime suspect. He fills in the "hypotheticals". They flashback while Jason tells the story. Diane doesn't like it.

Michael doesn't want to have another family discussion about himself. Carly pops his ego by telling him it's about Josslyn. They need to talk about the christening and Godparents. Jax suggests Alexis and Lucky. Carly says she hardly knows Lucky, which is more a comment on the show than anything. Carly came to Port Charles to find family but never really connected with family. She seems to have a relationship with mom Bobbi but you'd never know it because she is never on the show. She never really got to know cousin Lucky and only had multiple encounters with Luke when she first came on the show. Not to mention her half-brother Lucas. Morgan mentions Jason but then the brothers decide to let Jax and Carly handle it and leave. Carly insists Jason is going to be Josselyn's Godfather. Jax is pissed.

Dom/Dante helps Lulu up. He asks if that was Maxie on the phone. She says it's none of his business. He says he cares if she was "crying herself to sleep". She says she had a cold. They banter and Dominic/Dante charms the pants off of her.

Hey, who's that? It's Monica! Tracy thinks its been blissfully quiet since Rebecca left. Monica says she got an e-mail from her and that she's enjoying Paris. Monica thinks it's been blissfully quiet since Luke left. Edwards interrupts an inevitable cat-fight. He is carrying a letter from "Maya" Ward. Oooh! Justice's niece? Daughter? Maya writes that she's looking for a place to do her internship. Her step-mom was killed in a car accident and she's taking care of her younger half-sister. Two Wards coming to Port Charles?? Oooh! Edward says Maya and "Zoe" will be moving in.

Lisa and Patrick discuss the case. Chelsea's back is broken. They go break the news to her. She says she can't feel her legs.

Carly and Jax argue about Jason. She says if he accepts Jason as the Godfather, then she should accept Alexis but she's not going to. That's... compromise!? She insists that Alexis hates her. Jax, the sap, wusses out and tells Carly she can choose both Godparents. He leaves.

Jason tells Diane about Sonny's plan. She thinks Franco's pictures and everything Jason did to cover it up will make Michael look that much more guilty. There is a knock at the door. It's Michael. Diane leaves but not without warning Jason not to do anything without consulting her. He tells him what he told Diane. He apologizes for failing him. Michael came with happy news. He tells Jason that he's going to be Josselyn's Godfather. Apparently, he knows Carly is going to win the argument with Jax. He leaves.

Lulu wonders what's changed. He says he wants to be fair to her. She thinks he wants to save her from the fallout by walking away from her. She says that she has the right to decide that. She says "Don't think that his is over" and is interrupted by a nice smooch. When the smooch is done, she finishes with "because it's not." Hee. Nice.

This might be a nice time to point out that there is never ever any liquid in the prop coffee cups. That's good because props can spill easily, etc. That's bad because the actors of General Hospital don't know how to act like the cup is full. They always lift it way too easily. Even when they take a sip, it never looks real. Acting 101, people.

Kristina and Sam are meeting at Kellys. Kristina want to know how Sam is. Sam says things have been better but she's fine. Kristina was really worried about her. She says she can't imagine her life without her big sis. She wants advice about Keifer. She wonders if Jason ever loses his temper out of nowhere. Sam wants to know if they're talking about Jason or Keifer.

Edward doesn't want Monica to turn his great-granddaughter away. So she's Justice's daughter? When did Justice have a kid? Tracy thinks any kid who suddenly gets in touch just wants money. Monica actually agrees with Tracy. Tracy reminds Edward of Rebecca. He doesn't care. He wants to do good for the Wards. He proclaims that Maya and Zoe will stay there. Monica wonders if Maya even wants to live there. He leaves insisting they will. Tracy finds the first letter that Maya sent and she hid. She says that nowhere in the letter does it say she's moving to Port Charles.

Maxie snarks at how late Lulu is. Lulu is not in the mood. She brings up last night again and says crying herself to sleep will make you blotchy. Hee. She leaves saying she got those opera tickets she wanted. Maxie: "What a fabulous friend am I?" Hee. Carly comes in. Lulu offers the opera tickets to her. Carly guesses correctly that it's because there's a problem with Dominic/Dante. Carly asks Lulu to be Josselyn's Godmother.

Morgan called Dominic/Dante over to ask him to the christening. Jax interrupts.

jax says Dominic has already been invited. He tells Morgan to put away his ski equipment. Dominic/Dante fills Jax in. They should have a warrant any day now. He jokes that if the bust happens before the christening, he'll assume he's not invited. Dominic/Dante is worried about Morgan and that he's going to feel betrayed. Just because you're undercover assignment ends, doesn't mean everyone is going to find out who you are. It's possible to keep your cover by sending your undercover personality to prison. That way, if you were needed to go undercover again in the same capacity, you could. But...that won't work since we all want Dominic to stay on this show. It just weirds me out that they never thought about that possibility. But then again, this is the same undercover cop who has let his cover be blown by about fifteen people. Jax says he's doing Morgan a favor by letting him live a normal life.

Lulu is flattered but surprised by Carly's question. She thinks Lulu would be wonderful and Josslyn would be lucky to have her. Lulu agrees to it. Carly says Dominic is welcome to come along as her date.

Kristina blames herself for Keifer's behavior. Sam tries to calmly explain to Kristina that this is a bad relationship and tries not to slap the moron.

Jason fills Johnny in on Sonny's plan to frame Franco. He appreciates that johnny has kept quiet. He says he'll keep quiet because Michael is the only one that deserves to be protected.

Patrick tells "Dean" about Chelsea's condition. He doesn't know how this all happened. He also adds that he didn't "sign up for a girlfriend in a wheelchair." Cold...

Diane is at Kelly's. Do they serve alcohol at Kelly's? Spinelli is there asking Diane for love advice. He tells her about the Franco situation. She thinks it's great that he just wants to move on. She also thinks Maxie's plan is brilliant. She tells of her free-pass list: Russell Crowe and Justin Timberlake. Hee. He wants to know if Max has a list. Diane says absolutely not: double standards do apply. She tells him that know matter what Maxie says, she doesn't want him to cheat on her.

Carly arrives at Jason's. He has the painting out that led Jason to Franco's studio. She insists that he needs to let this go for now. She asks Jason to be Josslyn's Godfather.

Lulu thanks Maxie for the tickets. Maxie can tell something's wrong and that there must be a road block in Lulu's relationship with Dominic. She says she'll figure it out. Lulu tells her what happened without giving anything away.

Johnny warns Dominic of Sonny's plan. He's worried about Olivia and Lulu. He says Johnny was right about Lulu. He regrets that the fallout may hurt Lulu.

Patrick and Lisa tell Chelsea that they need to operate. Lisa says she's the best person for the job.

Jason says Carly should want Josslyn as far away from him as possible. She convinces Jason in her Carly-way.

Jax catches Morgan playing with his phone to find games. Morgan says he found an e-mail regarding Sonny from the Senator's office. He asks what "facilitating the operation" means. Jax lies that he's trying to help Sonny. Morgan buys it.

Lulu says she knew that this would all end badly. She admits she fell in love with Dominic.

Dom/Dante says that at first it was just a flirtation with Lulu. He knows it'll only end badly. He didn't figure on falling in love.

January 19 2010

Let's get to it:

Sam is surprised that the hair in the cabin is Sonny's. Jason is too, since Sonny was never at the cabin.

Olivia says Sonny should leave town because the cops found Claudia's body. He wants to know how she feels about him leaving. She doesn't answer but instead says the cops will have every available expert on this. He thinks she knows something he doesn't.

At the airstrip: Lucky says he doesn't want Nikolas to leave Port Charles. Not for him. Nik says he's doing it for everyone. He wants to know why Lucky wants him to stay when every time he sees him, he'll feel betrayed.

Credits; They seriously need to redo this opening. It was idiotic to have an opening where all the men appear on screen when the cast of soap operas change so frequently.

Spinelli thinks Sonny's hair made it to the cabin on Claudia's clothes. He says he'll do whatever it takes to thwart the PCPD. Jesus. I used to think Mac was hard on Spinelli by calling him a criminal but he's really turned into a full-fledged one.

Olivia says she doesn't know anything. She says Claudia's body will give the PCPD all the info that they need. She encourages him to leave town, mostly because of his stupidity at the metro-court. I'm taking a moment to imagine a Sonny-free General Hospital. It's so nice. It'll never happen.

Lucky says that this is partly his fault. He lies that he's put himself into Nik's shoes and imagined all that he's been through.

Spinelli says he can corrupt Sonny's DNA as well. He runs off to his office to see what he can do. Jason tells Sam about Sonny's stupid plan to frame Franco. He says he needs to come up with a better plan.

Sonny jokes by asking if he should take it personally that she wants him to leave town. Olivia doesn't know if he's stupid or stubborn. Both. She brings up another, "remember that time in Brooklyn..." that we don't care about. Sonny says he'll handle it. She calls him arrogant. He says the cops don't have enough evidence.

Haunted Star: Mike is gambling with Ethan at the Roulette wheel. He's the only one there. How does this business stay afloat? Afloat? Get it? Cause it's a boat? See what I did there? Anyway... Mike writes Ethan an I.O.U. and Ethan asks him if he'd rather put it on a credit card. Tracy comes in and cuts him off wondering why they're open for just one customer. Ethan says if they closed every time Luke left town... That still doesn't answer her question, but OK. Mike wants to continue gambling but Tracy shuts it down. Mike suddenly gets angry tossing over a barstool and leaves in a huff saying Luke will hear about this. She tells Ethan that Mike is an addict and Ethan doesn't see the problem. She says the problem is that he'll lose and then go to his "mobster son" for help and then Ethan will have a problem.

Lucky wants to make sure Nikolas doesn't leave. Someone's got a plan! Nik says he wants to make sure he let's his feelings for Elizabeth subside. Lucky says he knows Nik wouldn't let anything happen and if he did, Liz would never betray him. They play games for a while on this note. Lucky is so eerily calm. This is also the first time in a while I've seen Tyler Christopher act. I think he's needed this. The eeire music matches the mood. Nikolas finally agrees to stay. The brothers hug.

Jason's apartment:: Jason tells Sonny of the hair in the cabin and that it matched his DNA. Sonny is perplexed. He still wants to pin Claudia's murder on Franco and he wants Jason to just stay out of it. Jason says he can't.

Docks: Lulu sees Johnny. He's waiting for Olivia. He tells her he knows about Dominic/Dante. She wants to know what he's going to do. He's not going to tell Sonny. He says he'd much rather watch Dante bring Sonny down. He says there's a lot of ways this thing can go and he doesn't want to see her hurt. Dominic/Dante shows up.

Kristina meets Keifer at Kelly's. He makes some stupid joke about stalking. He thought she was mad at him. She thought he was mad at her. They're both not mad at each other. He says he's just been frustrated - not about sex - he thinks he's way more into 'them' then she is. He gives her a present. It's a necklace with two halves of a heart with their initials.

Lucky comes by Elizabeth's. The boys are sleeping. He tells Liz that he saw Nikolas at the airport and convinced him to stay in Port Charles. Liz wants to know why. He answers that Nikolas is his brother and he couldn't let him leave.

Ethan arrives at Kellys. He's looking for Mike. The waitress says he won't be back tonight.
Along with the necklace - Keifer has gotten tickets to the Black Eyed Peas. Ethan interrupts to see if everything is OK. Kristina says things are fine but that doesn't leave him off the hook, re: teaching her poker.

Lucky says he literally stopped Nik on the tarmac. Liz says she just wants Lucky to be happy. Lucky thanks her because he knows this is hard on her then asks her if he was selfish. She says 'no' but wants to know why Lucky did it when Nik made it clear that this is what he wanted. Lucky lays it on thick here talking about how they started out as mortal enemies and found a way to become friends and brothers. He throws around words like 'trust' and 'honesty'. I wonder how long he's going to keep this up. But this story-line has suddenly gotten more interesting. He leaves.

Dominic/Dante wonders if there's a problem because it sounded like Johnny was warning her. Lulu explains that Johnny isn't so sure if it's a good idea to hang out with a cop. Lulu actually mouths the word 'cop', which I find incredible since they're usually so loud about it. It's like they want everyone to know. Johnny says that Dom/Dante would never raise a hand at Olivia's son but this whole thing is going to explode and he's going to have a lot of 'splaining to do. He wonders what Lulu's dad would think. She says it's not his business. Johnny says to think about that because Sonny and Luke look out for each other. He says Luke will hate it. Johnny nails his point a little further and Dominic/Dante thanks him for the warning. Lulu and Dominic take off.

Jason and Sonny have the same 'framing Franco' argument. Sonny orders Jason to stay out of the mix and leaves.

Dom's room at Kelly's: He says he needs to wrap this up soon and shouldn't have let this get personal. He says Johnny's right. When this ends, he doesn't know where it'll leave everyone - especially him and Lulu.

Sam comes back to Jason's apartment. Doesn't she have a job? He tells her Sonny is handling things and it's going to make things worse with Michael. He fills her in with the plan to peg Claudia's murder on Franco.

Nik comes to Liz's house. He wants to explain why he's still there. She already knows. Liz is pissed. She says she will never be with him again. She chooses Lucky and only Lucky.

Lucky stops by the Haunted Star. He wants to know where Luke is but Ethan has no clue. He tells Lucky about Mike. He's going to track down Mike and let him win because he's more worried about his kneecaps than Mike's addiction. Lucky tells Ethan that he'll close up. He catches a moment where Lucky sounds like Luke and tells him. He says if he's got a problem, he can listen. But Lucky says he's got his problems handled. Ethan jets.

Dominic is worried that when everything comes out, Lulu's world is going to change and it won't be pretty. She's not afraid. He hates that he put her in this position. Lulu takes it lightly and surprisingly maturely. They kiss. I think they're gonna do it for the first time! But no, Dominic/Dante stops it and insists she goes. She doesn't think he's noble. She thinks he's an 'emotional coward'.

Olivia apologizes for being late. Hmm, I wonder who kept you? He tells Olivia that he ran into Dante and Lulu. He tried to warn Lulu of the fallout. Olivia said he did the same thing for Sonny. They're glad they have each other, despite all the heartache that's about to come. Sonny sees them kiss.

Jason knows Franco will release the photos if he's blamed for Claudia's death. Sam becomes Jason's cheerleader again.

Nikolas tells Liz that he'll leave if she wants him to. She says to stay for Lucky's sake. They know they're going to be spending a lot of time together.

Music Montage! Liz staring out the window. Lucky looking at a bottle of vodka remembering Nikolas and Liz screwing. He takes a bottle of Gin? Whiskey? He pours himself a glass - takes forever - but finally downs it.

January 18 2010

Happy MLK Day! I have a dream. I have a dream that this long-ass Lisa/Patrick scene will be over soon.

Patrick is offended by Lisa's remark. You know, the whole 'was a party animal, now a husband and dad' thing. Isn't Patrick too young to have a mid-life crisis? He insists he's a much better man this way.

Sam comes to the restaurant...Spinelli fills her in on the mysterious hair found in the cabin.

Dominic/Dante is still listening to Sonny and Michael. They don't give away Michael's guilt but it's obvious they know what happened.

Lucky continues to watch Liz and Nik making out. Liz hears a creak and turns around...

Credits! There's some old people I don't recognize. Must be the Qs...

Lucky is gone. Nikolas doesn't want to pressure Liz but she says it's her choice to be there.

Lisa continues to use insulting words like "domesticated". Gosh, what a bitch. Patrick rightfully says, people change. I hope he's sure about that. She seems to finally get it, but I'm sure we will revisit this conversation again and again. And again. He grabs his coat and leaves. He's going to video conference with Robin and Emma. I did that today with my niece!

Spinelli thinks the chance that the hair belongs to Michael is slim since many people must have been in that cabin over the years. Jason suggests tampering with the DNA that the PCPD already has on Michael just in case.

Sonny insists they put it all behind them. Michael tells Sonny the reason he's back - he talks about the cabin they were skiing in and how it reminded him of Claudia. Sonny says Franco moving the body did them a favor because it will mess up all the evidence. Dominic/Dante is still listening!

Patrick arrives at the hospital. Steve was going to call him - there's a new case - a crane fell on someone. Ouch! Patrick says he can't because he was drinking earlier. He says he'll call another doctor. Patrick offers to at least look at the scans but Steven says it's ok. He can handle it. Patrick's ego is bruised and says Steven can't admit that his penis is bigger than...I mean he's the best neurosurgeon there. Steve says he knows Patrick is good but he can't do everything. On the other hand, Patrick has a history of performing miracles and this patient needs one. Way to stick to your guns, Steven. Patrick takes a look at the scans. He wants Patrick to team up with Lisa. Patrick: Why not?

Maxie comes into the restaurant and talks about their 'special project' that we never actually got to see. Spinelli says they have a more pressing matter. He wants to "subvert" the PCPD. He can't divulge the specifics but insists Maxie's help is crucial.

Jason and Sam walk into their apartment which has been redesigned... I guess that's the 'special project'. Despite Jason's description to the contrary, it looks pretty similar. He's a little pissed but more importantly, he's wondering why Maxie and Spinelli would do this to lift his spirits (as Sam says) after what he did to them.

Sonny's office: Dominic tells Sonny there has been some friction between him and Michael. He tells Sonny of what happened between them and Kristina and that Michael told Dominic to stay out of it. Sonny says Michael has had problems since the coma but that he shouldn't have said that to Dominic. Dominic says he's just bringing it up because he seems volatile. Sonny admits Michael wants to be like him and he doesn't know how to stop it. Quit the mob? Die? Go to prison?

Post-coital scene at Wyndemere. Nikolas wants to be together in the open and is sorry that he can't give her that. She says to be grateful for what they do have. Wild sex and cheating on the only person that really loves both of them? God, I hate them. He insists she wants her to be happy and to work it out with Lucky. He tells her that he'll miss her. Of course this was going to be the "last time" because this is the time Lucky caught them. Too little, too late folks.

Lucky comes home to an empty house and stares around blankly. Oh, Lucky.

Dominic says it's got to be tough for Michael - finding out that Claudia was the one who was responsible for him getting shot. Sonny blames himself - but Dominic thinks that Sonny has been a good father. I can't tell if that's part of his act or he really thinks that. I have a bad feeling it's the latter. Sonny says he never wanted to have a kid but he got together with Carly and Michael came with her. But after a while Michael 'made [him] a father'. He wants better for Michael but he says Michael doesn't want better for himself.

Jason says it scares him to think about what could have happened to Sam. Sam defends himself...."You are not responsible for...blah blah blah" I think she actually says blah blah blah because that's all I hear.

Maxie infiltrates Ted's office space. She says Mac sent her by to pick up a file. Ted says he doesn't have anything for Mac and if he did, he'd send it by official courier. She says she has a note! She tries to distract him and somehow gets him out in the hall, thereby letting Spinelli sneak in and get on Ted's computer. Maxie continues to distract. Ted's too smart for that....or seemingly too smart and attempts to go back to the morgue...lab?.....Maxie, getting desperate, let's out a scream.

Liz asks Nik to keep his promise and start a new life when he gets to Paris. She wants him to go out and meet new people. He says the only problem with that is that he's in love with her. But she knows he'll meet someone if it's meant to be. He says he thought he was getting a second chance with Liz after Emily died. He now asks her to make him a promise. To put all this behind her. No more guilt. Oh, just wait. They share a goodbye kiss. It would all be sweet if it wasn't so self-indulgent and douchey.

Lucky goes to the closet and takes out a baseball bat. He swings at the vase on the table. He starts wacking everything in the house. Awesome! He yells at Luke who isn't there that he was right. "Love is one big lie" and other 'woe is me' type revelations. Then he breaks down. Jonathan Jackson, how I've missed you.

Ronnie's hospital room. You gonna start paying rent, Ronnie? Just sayin'. Dominic tells Ronnie that Sonny knows things he couldn't have known if he wasn't in the cabin and had killed Claudia. And he thinks Michael knows everything. Ronnie says this will get a warrant for Sonny's arrest - but isn't that just hearsay?

Sam and Jason rehash a bit of the Franco fiasco. He admits that he was just glad that Sam was ok.

So what was Maxie screaming about? Blood. She wants to know what it is. Is Ted really buying this? He slowly explains to the pretty dumb blond girl that hospitals have blood. Spinelli leaves and she incredibly finds the "note from her dad" - she's in the wrong office! She leaves. Ted is perplexed. Poor Ted.

Lisa comes into the hospital as Patrick is leaving. She tells him that Steven called and wants them to team up on a surgery. Steven interrupts. Lisa says she's had a couple of beers earlier and wants to know if the surgery can wait. Steven says it's scheduled for tomorrow and they'll have a meeting. Lisa teases Patrick asking if he can 'keep up'. He says she better bring his A-game. They do realize this surgery on a person, right?

Lucky throws another vase. Knock at the door. It's Liz. She wants to know what happened. He says he found the house that way. She thinks someone broke in and Lucky let's her believe it. He says he doesn't want to call the station in case it was just his dad on a bender. His teary eyes completely give him away but Liz doesn't see it. She starts to pick stuff up but Lucky says to leave it. He says it's a mess and it'll stay a mess until he figures out what to do. I don't think he's talking about the house!

Jason rehashes his conversation with Franco. He tells her that if he kills again, Franco will kill again, too. Sam wonders if it's a legitimate threat but Jason knows it is.

Sonny is leaving Kelly's which all of a sudden has a gorgeous city view. I don't remember that being there before. He meets Olivia. They talk about boring stuff from their past....something about churches and bad things...I don't know.

Ronnie and Dominic discuss how much Michael can handle. Ronnie thinks Michael will give them what they need. He says Sonny getting taken down by his own son is ironic. I think Ronnie has been listening to too much Alanis Morrisette.

Spencer (he does exist!) asks Nikolas why they have to leave. He metaphors that life is like a game and you have to follow the rules and Daddy broke the rules. Good parenting job, Nikolas. You and Liz are perfect for each other.

Lucky is on the phone with Laura and talking to her about Nikolas coming to Paris. He brings up how hard it must have been to not be able to see Nikolas all those years and wondering if he son would end up like a Cassadine. All the time, he's loading a gun.

Spinelli interrupts Sam and Jason blathering on - (thank God!) - She points out the room and Spinelli says he'd love to hear Stone Cold's reaction but they have more pressing matters. He says the hair found at the cabin was Sonny's.

Olivia and Sonny. So freaking bored. Seriously, I can't take this. They segue to Dante and Olivia says parents have to set standards although you tell kids to do one thing and they'll do the opposite. She thinks Sonny needs to pack up and get out of town. Sonny's all: whaaaaaaa?

Dominic/Dante doesn't want to do this to Michael but Ronnie can't understand why a man would confess the details of a murder to his own son. Ronnie gets a little soapbox-y and I'm with him every step of the way. Dominic/Dante starts to wuss out as I was dreading he would. He doesn't want to ruin Michael's life. Ronnie can't wait for this to be over. You and me both, babe.

Liz meets Steven at the hospital. She asks for the weekend off so she can surprise Lucky. You already surprised him, Liz. Steven gives her the weekend off. She informs him that Nikolas is moving to Paris. She insists that she's at peace with it and now she'd ready to devote herself to Lucky. Now?

Lucky stops NIkolas at the airstrip. Nik says she's sorry for the pain he caused. Lucky tells Nikolas that he wants him to stay. UGH.

-end.

January 15 2010

We start at Wyndemere where Lulu can't understand why Nikolas would want to ruin his brother's life by stealing his girlfriend/fiance. Nik says that's not what he wants. Lulu encourages a long vacation.

Steven can't tell Liz what to do - but Liz wants him to tell her. He uses euphemisms like "rebel" and "independent spirit" instead of "trainwreck". She seemingly blames it on Emily. If she hadn't died...blah blah blah. Steven isn't so sure.

Ted the hot young new black CSI investigator or TTHYNBCSII for short is still at the morgue with Mac when Lucky shows up. TTHYNBCSII tells Lucky about the hair. Maybe I'll just call him "Ted".

Sonny says the cops will buy Ronnie's story. Dominic doesn't think so. Jason comes in and overhears. He thinks Sonny is an idiot too. So does the audience.

Flashback! Michael plays Claudia's death in his mind again. Carly can tell.

Credits: Still waiting for Lucky, Dominic, Michael, Kristina and Morgan....Don't really care about Ethan.

We're at Lisa's apartment where they do the falling into Patrick thing again. Yeah, I didn't need to see it again. Seriously, they do the whole scene again.

Carly wants to know if Michael's ok. Jax gets the hint and takes Morgan into the other room so Carly and Michael can talk.
Carly brings up the night Michael killed Claudia. He says it's why he didnt want to come on the trip. Carly wants to help.

Dominic thinks Sonny's plan is ridiculous but tries to say it nicely. Sonny insists the cops "need a win". Sonny thinks its cut and dry. Jason says he thinks they need to discuss it. Sonny orders Dom to go do what they discussed. After Dominic leaves, Jason and Sonny continue to argue. Jason says if they pin Claudia's murder on Franco, he'll retaliate by going after Michael and giving him up to the police.

CSI: Port Charles: Mac wants to get DNA samples. Lucky thinks it may lead to a suspect they haven't even considered.

Liz: "Are you saying I would have cheated on Lucky regardless?" Yes, Liz. Because you're the town slut. By the way, Becky Herbst is pregnant again so who here is seeing another "who's your daddy?" storyline. *Yawn*. Steven thinks her life wouldn't have been as great as she thinks if Emily lived. Liz talks about the "passion" between her and Nik. Like your brother needs to hear that, Liz. He's not your gay best friend. And....I just found my role on the show. But anyway... Steven gets all psychologist again and brings up their parents who were never really there because they were all off saving the world. Liz doesn't want her kids or Lucky to feel like that. Steven says passion doesn't work that way. Liz insists on trying harder. Steven doesn't buy it.

Nikolas is surprised that Lulu thinks leaving will solve everything. Lulu is worried about her brothers. She uses Stefan as an example and his obsession with Laura. She doesn't want to see that happen with Nikolas. Nik makes a decision to go through with leaving. For good.

Lisa's apartment: Patrick wants to hang out. Lisa says no. Patrick thinks she has a date with Matt but she shot Matt down. Poor Matt. He just cannot get laid in Port Charles. Turns out Lisa just wants to watch NASCAR. She's seen it twice already but wants to watch more....blah blah blah, I can't believe I'm recapping a conversation about NASCAR. Sorry, can't do it: *Bleep Blop* NEXT

Lulu didn't mean "leave this second". He's planning on Paris. It would give Spencer a chance to get to know Laura. Like Nikolas cares about what Spencer wants. Lulu says not to tell Laura about what's happening and then once again brings up that if Emily were alive, none of this would have happened. Nikolas says that's not true. He says he wasn't that great to Emily. He insists it's the Cassadine blood. Lulu says not to blame his Cassadine heritage and at least he didn't sleep with Elizabeth. Nikolas gives a look that Lulu doesn't see. Hee. She says it just happened and he's doing the right thing by leaving. She hopes he'll meet a girl in Paris and once things settle down, he can come back. He snarks that he trusts that she'll let him know when it's safe to come back. Lulu thinks that leaving town is what's best for everyone.

Liz sees a pattern. Whenever things get close with Lucky, she throws a wrench into it. Last time the wrench was named Jason. Now it's Nikolas. Steven doesn't think she really wants to be with Lucky. He talks about her rebellious side again which we haven't seen for about ten years. Steven thinks she needs to make a choice and stick with it. He says she can't ignore what's real. Knock at the door. It's Lucky. Steven leaves. Lucky is glad the boys are away because he wants to discuss Nikolas.

Sonny and Jason are arguing the same arguments for and against framing Franco. The scene is repetitive and boring. They both have Michael's welfare in mind but Sonny is just being stupid about it. He just wants the case closed which he'll think will happen if they frame Franco.

Back from the commercials, nothing is different. Jason brings up the pictures of Michael with Claudia. He says there's no way to threaten Franco. He'll see it as a challenge and Michael will be the one who pays.

Michael doesn't want to talk to a shrink. He'll talk to Sonny about it. Cause he'll help. He says it's too much of a risk to talk to a shrink. He wants to go home. Carly doesn't want him by himself. Josselyn is so freaking cute by the way and she keeps looking up at Michael. Michael says he'll get Max to take him home to his dad's.

Dominic and Mac are talking about the case but as soon as he sees Ted come out of the morgue/lab?, he changes his tone to sound like he's a mobster grilling the police commissioner. Why is he even there? Can't he meet Mac in a more secretive place? Seriously: Worst. Undercover Cop. Ever. Ted tells Mac he needs him inside and then goes back into the room. Mac says that Dominic is "good". Really...? But Dominic/Dante's lieutenant isn't that happy with his lack of progress. Neither are we, Dominic/Dante, neither are we. Mac says he needs to know everyone who was in the cabin that night. Dom/Dante says he may be able to help. He thinks Michael knows what happened to Claudia and might want to talk.

Nikolas tells Alfred to close down the house and meet him and Spencer in Paris. Lulu thinks it would be great for Spencer to be in a regular school. Where is he now? Home-schooled? By Alfred? Lulu romanticizes his get-away by saying she'll come and visit and that it'll be great for Laura. Nik asks a favor: He wants her to do everything she can to support Lucky and Elizabeth.

Lucky tells Liz that he confronted Nikolas. Lucky thinks he should have paid closer attention to why his dad was acting so strangely. Liz once again blames it on Emily. Lucky finally shoots that theory down. He says he doesn't want Nikolas in his life right now. Liz apologizes but Lucky doesn't know why. Because they had sex, Lucky! Like....20 times!!! You'll find out soon. Spoiler! He doesn't know why she's defending him. She says she should have handled it differently. Yeah, by not sleeping with Nikolas. Lucky wants to think about the future. Get out, Lucky. Now!
Phone rings. It's Nik. He tells Liz he's leaving tonight and won't be back and then hangs up.

Dominic/Dante says he thinks Michael knows who killed Claudia. Mac says they need to be careful. They're both worried about Michael but Mac insists that Sonny going to prison would be the best thing that ever happened to Michael.

Sonny concedes. But if he doesn't want to use Franco, they have to find something else. He thinks Michael needs to get out of town. Jason suggests that Jax bring the family to Australia but Sonny thinks that's just a short-term solution. Sonny says they need to get Claudia's murder off the books.
