January 14 2010

Nikolas comes to Liz's house and finds Steven. Liz isn't home but he invites Nikolas in anyway. The camera ominously pans to Steven's hand which is holding a wrench. Hmmm..

The Jax crew arrives at their ski cabin. Morgan loves it but Michael and Carly are wary. The cabin looks like the one where he killed Claudia - probably because it's the same set. But I think it's on purpose.

Mac comes to Sonny's restaurant but he's "not there to socialize". He tells Sonny that Claudia's autopsy results came back. She's been murdered.

For the first time we've seen, Dominic is furious with his mom. He accuses her of having more devotion to her "boy toy" than to her son because she knew that Johnny knew about his cover. Johnny walks out all shirtless and hairy telling Dominic that Olivia knew that Johnny could be trusted.

Dom's still mad. Olivia defends herself. She says she has people on both sides of this that she loves. Wow, I've never seen Dominic so mad! He continues to yell at his mom. Johnny comes to Olivia's defense and yells back.

Mac is warning Sonny about how awesome CSI is. I've never seen those shows, but I'm sure they're good, Mac. Oh...actual CSI. Sonny lies that it brings him comfort. Mac brings up the smack-down that Sonny put on Claudia in front of half the town at he Metro-Court. Sonny explains his marriage. He compares his marriage to Mac and Felicia's and that looks can be deceiving. He insinuates that he's glad the truth will come out.

The Jax clan is getting ready to go skiing. Carly decides she wants to stay in and eat chips. Michael jokes that she's just scared.

Nikolas references the wrench as if it's a threat but of course Steven is just fixing something for Liz's kids. Nik marvels at the way he brought Liz's kids into the conversation and he's aware about how all this will affect them. Steven understands the situation wasn't done maliciously and he says he understands what Nik is probably going through.

Lulu confronts Liz at the hospital about what Lucky told her. Liz tells Lulu it's none of her business but Lulu insists it is her business since she knew about Jason and never told Lucky. Liz says this is a different situation. Lulu: Is it? ooooh.

Liz pretends not to know what Lulu is implying. Lulu is trying to figure out how all this happened. Liz uses the Emily defense but Lulu isn't buying it - she brings up the Jason fiasco again. She asks if Liz is pregnant. Ha! She thinks that Liz must be sending Nik missed signals.

Nik thanks Steven for his understanding. He asks Steven if he'd rather have Liz with Lucky. Steven says he has no opinion/say about that. He says it may have to come down to Lucky facing the truth. Nik says he should have left it alone but he didn't; he's been pursuing Liz. He knows Lucky would never do it to him. He leaves asking Steven not to tell Liz he was there.

Patrick sees Lisa at Kelly's. He gives her good news about a patient and she invites him to sit down and eat. Uh-oh! Mike(!) comes over and takes their order like a glorified extra. Lisa makes a crack about how Robin has Patrick all housebroken but then apologizes when she sees his sour face. He invites her to scrub in on a rare surgery. She passes - she has apartment stuff to do.....*yawn*

Carly obviously took Michael's challenge because she's all dressed. Physical comedy ensues. Well, they try. Teasing Carly continues.

Johnny says he has no problem if Sonny ends up behind bars but the only reason he won't blow Dante's cover is because of Olivia. Dominic/Dante is still repulsed. He still thinks she chose Johnny over him. Olivia gets all cliche-motherly and basically talks to Dominic/Dante like he's five years old. She kicks him out. He doesn't leave before telling Johnny that he'll solve Claudia's case because she deserves justice. If Dominic/Dante solves any case in the next five years, I'll die of shock.

New set! Lisa's box-filled apartment. Surgery got cancelled so Patrick stops by. She wants his help to move her couch.

Kristina has been having a good day with Kiefer and is excited to go to the movies but Kiefer has a change of plans. His parents are out of town so he wants to go home and screw. Kristina really wanted to see the movie. He's not hearing it. He talks about jacuzzis and beds. She wants to have an actual date. Kiefer talks about how awesome he is. He grabs her but Ethan steps in and choke holds him.

Olivia thanks Johnny for defending her but she's upset about how angry dom/dante is. He knows how conflicted Olivia is. He says he knows that she loves Sonny and doesn't want to see him in prison but she needs to be prepared that that's what is going to happen. No, it's not.

Dominic/Dante walks into Rodney's hospital room - he's still there? - That's a long time for a Port Charles citizen. Usually they heal from a gun wound in like three days. Getting hit by a car should only be two. They discuss the evidence they have to convict Sonny - but they don't think it's strong enough. Dom/Dante says they need DNA.

Anal couch moving scene. I think Lisa is just trying to tire him out. This reminds Patrick of very boring story of when Robin bought a couch. She goes to get snacks. Patrick lays out on the couch.

Back from the ski slopes - apparently Carly is a natural. They have cocoa and discuss skiing. This is a very boring episode.

Ethan let's Kiefer go. Kiefer is sick of Ethan butting in. Kristina isn't as sick of it. Kiefer tells her off and leaves. Ehtan wonders what Kristina sees in him. She says he's "usually nice". Ethan compliments Kristina and tells her any guy would be lucky to have her. She's very flattered.

Olivia is worried that Sonny could retaliate from prison and put out a hit on her kid. Johnny says that could happen. She talks about the reasons she used to justify her actions of the year. Johnny warns that when Sonny finds out, he'll feel betrayed.

Speaking of - Sonny walks into Rodney's room. (The closed captions tells me that he's Ronnie...I'll keep that in mind.) Sonny says he's glad Ronnie is doing better and then tells Dominic to come to the office when he's done. Dominic is all of a sudden conflicted because Sonny is so nice to check on a low-ranking guy! UGH - I hate those moments of "hey, maybe Sonny is a nice guy" that Dominic has. We all know that the character of Sonny will never ever go to jail - but Dominic makes me hopeful. I just hope he doesn't become a complete wuss when he finds out he's Sonny's son. Worse yet, I hope he doesn't become another Jason. Dominic/Dante needs to remain a cop so we can at least have one smart cop on the PCPD beat - and maybe now that Jonathan Jackson has taken over the role of Lucky, we can have two. Ronnie tells Dominic/Dante not to fool himself - he needs to convict Sonny. Dom reassures Ronnie that he's in it to the bitter end.

Somehow, Lisa falls into Patrick's arms while trying to rearrange the furniture. *yawn*

Liz comes home to a household of fixed appliances thanks to Steven. He tells her Nik stopped by and that they actually had a decent conversation. Liz tells Steven of the Lulu run-in. She's not ready for the fall-out if people find out.

Ethan and Kristina have gone into Kellys. She defends Kiefer but than turns the conversation towards Ethan and how...awesome...he...is.. Kristina wonders aloud why she puts up with Keifer's moods and comes up with the teen girl answer: He's good looking, popular, etc... Ethan offers a solution: Leave him. She can't do that. He doesn't know what to say - Kristina says he can teach her to play poker to lift her mood. He reluctantly agrees.

Dom comes to Sonny's office. Sonny is suspicious of the Franco/Ronnie hit and run. Dom makes excuses but Sonny thinks they're connected somehow.

Steven offers a suggestion: He talks about how detached their parents were - she never got the emotional support from her parents so she clings to Lucky because he's the warm emotional support she never had. That's more of a psychological perspective than a suggestion - but whatever.

Lulu storms into Wyndemere and tells Nik how furious Lucky is with him. He's sorry she got dragged into this. She thinks Lucky should be just as mad at Elizabeth because she thinks something more is going on there.

We're back from another ski outing- apparently, Carly skied into a tree. I wish we could have seen that. Michael comes in from getting wood for the fire and sees Carly with Josselyn.

Quick succession of scenes:

The young black cop we saw briefly the other day (Ted) is standing with a file. New character or day player? Mac enters and tells him as "lead CSI investigator", he needs to keep Claudia's records sealed.

Sonny tries to convince Dominic that Franco could be Claudia's killer.

Ted says samples from the weapon used to kill Claudia match samples from the torched cabin.

Michael has a flashback about killing Claudia.

Sonny orders Dominic to make Ronnie tell the cops that Franco confessed Claudia's murder to him.

Ted says they just need DNA.

More Michael/Claudia killing flashbacks.
