Carly is surprised that Jason thinks that Kristina might be lying. She urges him to find out the truth before anyone is killed.

Kristina has let Ethan into her house. He asks her why she's lying. She lamely answers that he yelled at her. He can't believe she'd ruin his life to punish him. Neither can I. I really hope this lie doesn't stretch too much further.

Dante and Lulu make out in his new pad. He stops it. Damn it, Dante! These two are both teases.

Diane finishes her opening statement by telling the jury that Sonny killed Claudia to protect Carly and Josselyn.

Credits

Diane explains to the jury what she'll prove during the trial. She tries to push Claire under the bus by talking about how she was brought in. Claire objects but the judge allows it. For some reason Coleman, in the jury box, gives a thumbs up to Diane...or the judge? Or maybe Sonny? She goes over the "facts" of what apparently happened that night. Carolyn Hennessey does a great job as Diane. She speaks well and is really believable as a lawyer. I almost believe her story.

Lulu wants to know why Dante stopped. He forgot condoms! They immediately begin searching for them. I wonder if Dante knows that Lulu was pregnant once before. Dante finds a box and they begin making out again. Phone! Dante answers his cell. The court wants Dante.

Lucky visits Crazy. She tells him what he already knows about the paternity. He admits he was there and he didn't want to interrupt. She explains to Lucky that she will never be with Nikolas.

Carly and Jason talk more about Ethan. Carly remembers that Kristina lied once before concerning Claudia's car crash. Jason explains his 'timing' theory to her.

Ethan apologizes for being a dick at the Haunted Star but he implores Kristina to tell the truth. She doesn't get it. Sam rushes in to her sister's rescue and calls the police, despite Ethan's pleas. He once again asks Kristina to the truth but she just cries and stays silent.

After the break, Ethan tries to convince Sam while Kristina just cries on the couch. Sam twists his words around to make it look like he's blaming Kristina for the attack. Finally, knowing he can't convince either of these two girls, he runs from the house. The thing is, I can't really blame Sam at all for this. She's too close to it emotionally and has no reason not to believe her sister. After he leaves, Sam comforts a now sobbing Kristina. She wants Sam to call the police back and tell them she made a mistake but Sam won't. Kristina's wounds look almost completely healed. Magic or make-up?!

Carly understands what it's like for Sam which puts Jason in a bad position. Jason worries the real attacker is still out there. Carly is worried that Kristina will feel guilty for the rest of her life if Ethan is hurt. She again tells Jason he needs to find out the truth. Didn't we already have this scene? Come on, Jason! Get going!

Lucky is glad that Elizabeth has come to a decision but doesn't want her to do it out of guilt. He wants to make sure she knows they're not getting back together but she says she knows.

Monica(!) explains to an oxygen masked Maxie that her blood pressure is dangerously low. She instructs Mac and Maxie that she can't have any physical or emotional stress. Spinelli, Robin and Patrick watch and listen carefully. Monica(!) tells Maxie she'll be OK and leaves. Everyone sulks, but Maxie tells them she'll be OK. Spinelli concurs.

Spinelli leaves to get something for Maxie. Mac talks to Maxie comforting himself more than her. Robin leaves to check on test results and Patrick follows. Outside, she breaks down a bit talking about how she watched Maxie go through this when she was younger. Back inside, Mac apologizes for being mean to Spinelli.

Claire is questioning Mayor Floyd on the stand regarding what he heard at the party. He says that he heard Sonny say, "It ends tonight!" She gets reprimanded by the judge twice for leading. He also threatens to throw out the case if she continues. Claire seems pretty satisfied anyway.

Nikolas brings Spencer over to visit Crazy as she gets off her cell. She's happy to see her baby's brother. Spencer has some questions that Nikolas thought only Elizabeth could answer. She explains to Spencer what's happening inside her 'tummy'.

Lucky comes to the Haunted Star to place Ethan under arrest. He's pissed that Ethan went over Kristina's house which he thinks proves that he's guilty. Ethan explains what he was trying to do but Lucky rightly explains it was the stupidest thing he could've done. Ethan tries to talk but Lucky shuts him up and leads him out without handcuffs.

Carly visits Kristina. If Sonny is so worried, why doesn't he have guards on Kristina? She brought a gift basket full of snacks. She's smart to soften the blow to why she's really there. Carly begins talking about her mistakes with older men but gets Kristina to open the cookies before she opens up. She talks about the guy she slept with when she was 16 which made a big mess for a lot of people. She tells Kristina that although she messed up, she was able to rebuild what she had.

Tracy meets Sam and Alexis at the PCPD as Lucky brings Ethan in handcuffs. Alexis asks Lucky to make sure everything is done by the books and he assures her that he knows how to do his job. Lucky drops Ethan off at the interrogation room. He leaves and Tracy enters calling him a fool.

Spencer asks Crazy if she and the baby will live with them. She explains that she'll be living on her own but he'll be able to see the baby anytime he wants. Nik tries to help out too. Spencer asks about the name. His favorite name is Sheba! That would be kind of awesome. And if it's a boy? Buzz Lightyear Cassadine! Awesome.

Robin worries about Maxie and compares her illness to her own. Patrick says Robin's illness scares him sometime too. Spinelli rolls back and asks Robin if he can go in. Inside, Mac excuses himself to let Spinelli have time with Maxie which is a nice adjustment to his attitude regarding Spinelli. He shows her a slideshow of their last year that really any fangirl could make on their MaxElli website. And...in some of these scenes, they were alone...so who took the pictures?

Claire wants to submit a list of witnesses who all heard Sonny threaten Claudia. Diane editorializes about why Sonny said waht he said to which Claire objects. The judge sustains. They let Mayor Floyd step down. And they take a recess so that the judge can talk to council. Alice and Coleman discuss Sonny's care-free body language. Sonny gets up to leave and runs into Dante and Lulu entering the court room.

Coleman. Lisa and Alice discuss the case. Coleman thinks Sonny is obviously guilty. Lisa is surprised he's ready to make a judgement after one witness but he actually wants the verdict to be 'not guilty' since he knows how powerful Sonny is. Alice, however, wants to see justice served and she's excited to put Sonny away. Kinda ironic considering how much she goes to bat for Luke. Lisa thinks they're both getting ahead of themselves.

Dante asks Lulu to get some seats. Sonny is surprised to see Dante so soon. Dante tells him they usually bring the investigating officer in early to get a layout of the case. Sonny assures Dante that no matter what he says on the stand, he's still his father. Dante retorts, "You're also a murderer." He tells Sonny, "You're just another criminal."

Asleep, Maxie dreams of her future as a fashion designer on the red carpet with Spinelli.

Kristina asks Carly how she got involved with an older man. Carly carefully tells her, subtly comparing herself to Kristina getting her to open up. Kristina talks about how cool she found Ethan to be. Carly continues to get Kristina to open up.

Ethan tries to explain what happened to Tracy but she's furious.

Jason has called Lucky but before he can get out what he called him there for, Lucky blurts out the results of the paternity test. He assures Jason that it won't affect his relationship with Jake and Cam. Jason tells Lucky that he needed to see him as a cop.

Kristina talks about Ethan some more. Kristina hints that perhaps the relationship was unclear. She relates it to her own story about how things got so confused to her in the past that she began to lie and that the lies became worse over the years. She implores Kristina to tell the truth but she says it in a very understanding, non-threatening way. And I have to say that this is the first time in a while that I've liked Carly. She's not being her usual brash self. Before Kristina can say anything, Alexis comes in and asks Carly what she's doing there.

Jason tells Lucky that there are discrepancies in Kristina's story and that Ethan may be innocent.

Ethan knocks over a chair in the interrogation room. Luke comes in to save the day!

Dante swears to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help him, God!
