March 25, 2010

Sonny opens the door to Diane. She tells him that they have until the afternoon to talk about the case. Instead, Sonny asks Diane what the maximum sentence Ethan will get for assaulting Kristina.

Jason and Sam hug. They missed each other. She tells Jason about her night bonding with Kristina. She's worried because Kristina wants to drop the charges against Ethan.

Lucky and Dante meet with Alexis at Kelly's about Luke. She compares Luke and Ethan which makes Dante get into a tizzy about his own parentage. Alexis is just worried and doesn't want Luke to get Ethan out of the country. Lucky assures her that he won't let that happen. He also tells her that Kristina doesn't want to press charges.

Luke greets Dante with a coffee from Kelly's in the interrogation room of the PCPD. Ethan, not so subtly, tells Luke that he knows about the rape.

Credits

Sam talks about what Kristina wants regarding Ethan's prosecution and she agrees that it might be too much for her describing the events that could occur. Jason gets that Sam is talking from experience.

Luke talks about his past: About his father who was an abusive drunk and about the night he snapped and raped the woman he loved. Ethan wonders when it's his turn to snap. Luke says it has nothing to do with genetics.

Diane doesn't want to talk about Ethan. She discusses the case. She's worried about Johnny and Maxie's testimonies. She goes on for a bit. Sonny's response? Ethan. Seriously did not hear a word she said. My nephew is like that. But he has Asberger's. Diane finally yells, "Stop it!" She tells Sonny that she'll prosecute Ethan when the time comes but it'll be that much harder for Kristina if her father is in prison.

Max and Milo are enjoying the island while Michael counts the minutes until he's replaced. D'oh! He calls Kristina on the phone. He has no idea what's going on with the trial or anything in Port Charles because he has no TV or internet access. Kristina tells Michael she got beaten up. Michael makes a decision to come home to be there for her but she assures him that she has support and is fine. He comes out to the living room and orders Max and MIlo to take him home because his sister needs him. Carly comes in just in time to tell him he ain't goin' nowhere!

Sam gets all offended that Jason thinks she's taking Kristina's assault personally but then admits that he's right. Jason thinks it's great that Sam is there for Kristina because of her experience. She says she's going to have to convince Alexis and Sonny to do what Kristina wants.

Carly asks M&M for a moment alone with Michael. Michael tells her what he just found out and doesn't understand why no one told him. Carly says that that's why she's there. She also needs to tell him how important it is for Michael to stay.

Olivia asks Johnny the questions from the prosecution's sheet. I can't really pay attention to what he's saying because Johnny is shirtless. He gets angry and I can tell because his muscles ripple a bit. Olivia tells him he'll have to calm it down a bit on the stand. He's worried that Sonny will go free.

Sam comes to visit Alexis at the lake house. Alexis is going over stuff regarding the case against Ethan. Sam tells Alexis that Kristina opened up to her. They agree that Kristina is petrified but Sam tells her that Kristina just wants it to go away. Sam asks Alexis if there's any way to get the charges against Ethan to disappear which is just completely icky. And completely missing the point. And this whole story line which seemed to be there for the sole purpose of showing teenage girls who watch this show the right thing to do is just getting so skewed and confusing and I really hope it ends well because I hate recapping it.

Carly tells Michael what happened with Kristina. Michael is shocked that it would be Ethan and Carly tells him that she thinks Kristina might be lying and lists the reasons why. Michael knows it wasn't Ethan and says it was Kiefer.

Luke visits Sonny again. Sonny wants to know if Ethan's caved yet and Luke tells him that Ethan is innocent. Luke gives a speech about how a man knows his son. He wants Sonny to talk to Kristina again. Sonny: "Luke, are you calling my daughter a liar." Yes! We all are! It's fun! Try it! Kristina is a liar!

At the PCPD, Claire asks Dante his opinion about calling Johnny to the stand.

Meanwhile, a shirtless Johnny has a kissing Olivia on his lap. Lucky bitch. For some reason, he starts talking about his sister. I thought the incestual vibe would end after she died. He goes on to talk about taking Sonny down. Olivia tries to define the fine line between justice and revenge.

Sam and Alexis argue. Alexis can't understand how Sam could want to protect the attacker. Sam talks about her conversation with Jason. Alexis doesn't think Jason is one she should be discussing this with her since he doesn't understand the ramifications of violence.

Ethan talks to Lucky about Laura's rape.

Diane orders Jason to be on "Sonny containment". She tells him to get his mind on the trial and not on Kristina. Jason tells Diane about the discrepancy in Kristina's story. Diane doesn't want Jason to talk to Sonny about this.

The tension between Luke and Sonny rise. He asks Luke to leave before things escalate. Luke complies.

Dante thinks Johnny won't be a good witness because he's "nuts".

Lucky talks to Ethan about how hard it was to find out about his dad.

Kelly's: Kristina sits with Bitchy Friend, Molly and Silent Friend at a table while Kiefer eavesdrops at the counter. Bitchy friend tells her that she has to think bout what she's going to wear to court. Kristina tells Bitchy that there may not even be a trial. Bitchy and Silent leave. Molly tells Kristina that of course there'll be a trial. She leaves to go to the library. Kiefer comes over and asks if he heard (eavesdropped) right about her dropping the charges against Ethan.

Sam continues to try to convince Alexis to do what Kristina wants. You know what, Sam? That's why Alexis is the mom. Sometimes moms have to make those hard decisions so that their daughter's will feel better in the end knowing that the guy who attacked them won't do the same thing to someone else. How guilty would Kristina feel if she didn't prosecute her attacker and he beat up some other poor girl? Of course the whole thing is moot since Kristina named the wrong guy....

Michael wants to go home so he can convince Kristina to tell the truth but Carly doesn't think it'll work. Michael: "What kind of world do we live in where the wrong people pay and the guilty go free," alluding to his lil thing with Sonny and Claudia. Except for someone who is so gung ho about going into Sonny's life of crime, you'd think he wouldn't care so much about that. Carly assures him that staying silent is the best thing he can do right now.

Jason meets with Sonny and talks about Diane's worries. He tries to get Sonny to keep focus.

Claire puts Johnny on the mock stand. She asks him questions that aren't on the list telling him that he has to be prepared for that. She purposefully makes him angry.

Sonny tells Jason about Luke. He says he's not going to kill Ethan, but only if the justice system does it's job.

For some reason Dante peeks through the window as Lucky talks to Ethan. Luke interrupts Lucky who goes out to see Dante. Inside, Luke tells Ethan that he talked to Sonny with disastrous results. Outside, Dante asks Lucky if he should be worrying about a break-out. Alexis interrupts them to tell Lucky that she needs to talk about the charges against Ethan.

Back at Kelly's, Keifer wants to know why Kristina is dropping the charges. Kristina, "He didn't hurt me." Duh. He thinks that she'll press charges against him and that it's "unfair." Sam interrupts wanting to know what's "unfair."
